I have a lot of question marks about this show, but the casting has certainly been great.Leave a comment:

Even though all I'm seeing is a big, black rectangle, I was able to watch this on YouTube.
If the wireframe ship near the end of the clip is, indeed, the new design for the DISCOVERY, then I gotta say I'm much happier with it than I was with the previous, McQuarrie inspired starship which, to me, looked a little clunky. If the wireframe is any indication, this ship looks like it shares DNA with the NX-01 which I am happy about because I really liked the design of that ship, even if it was pretty much way ahead of Kirk's ENTERPRISE design-wise.
Looking forward to seeing more of this as the production progresses...Leave a comment:

What is suspected to be Discovery's opening theme music has been released by its composer.. audio file can be heard here:
I like it.. very Trekky

That makes me wonder if Lt. Kirk will appear in it. (maybe Lieutenant-Commander by then...)
It would have been cool if it was the same year as TMP, complete with the look of the TMP novels and book cover art, with 1979 style hair and mustaches.Leave a comment:

He is a decent actor, and I can see the similarities with Mark Leonard. And hopefully the delay will give CBS time to rethink their terrible online strategy for the show.Leave a comment:

That promo wasn't really for Discovery as much as it was for the new multimedia company that's creating "VR Experience" content for Trek. As a Trek brand, they just tied-in to Discovery at the end. I just shared it here so folks could play with it.
Discovery hasn't even started filming yet. Scheduled to start later this month.Leave a comment:

me too. great show that was way ahead of it's time. I have the entire run on disc. really great cast and not afraid to make fun of itself.
that new Discovery promo still tells us nothing about the show. I mean it is set to debut in 4 months or so, shouldn't they be showing a bit more by this point?Leave a comment:
