No, because it's just bad retconning. The badly retconned parts in the prequels is like Lucas trying to digitally hammer a square peg into a round hole. No matter what, it just doesn't fit. The prequels have no effect on my view or enjoyment of the classic trilogy.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

That's wonderful irony. Without such irony the many genres of art
and life itself would lose a lot of intrigue and dimension.

        I totally agree.

Anakin is easily the biggest weakness and flaw of the prequels. You could over look a lot of the plot holes if the character worked. There is no hero's tragic fall from grace. Anakin is such an unheroic, unlikable jerk that you would be actually shocked if he didn't turn to the darkside.

I actually appreciate every movie for what they are. Sure to me the first 35 minutes or so of empire is the greatest movies scenes ever but i don't hate on menace. The story had to be told Anakin had to start somewhere. Back to Empire. I remember being 9 and waiting for the release of Empire. Heck my parents wanted to see it almost as bad as me and my brother. Then when it finally started. Man only a few memories are as good as being a carefree kid.

For Phantom Menace everybody always points out Jar Jar was the worst thing ever...

It totally overshadows other lousy stuff like the 12 hour long pod race.

I swear, I almost walked out of the theatre during th pod race because it made me sooo mad how long it was ......

In comparison, that pod race reminds me of a Family Guy style prank like having Stewie say mom, mom, mom, mom, mom, mom, mom, mom, mom, mom, mom, mom for 10 straight minutes.

I think a lot depends how old you are when you seen it.

You were about 14-ish when you seen Phantom in the theatre, D ?

That's almost the same age I was when I seen "Star Wars" for the first time in the theatre.

It's only natural the younger people like the prequals more than us old fogies

The only way the Prequils will ever fit seamlessly is for the OT to be re done

I just wish Lucas would have watched the original trilogy at least once before he "wrote" the prequel.

I don't know Mike. I grew up on Star Wars. Was five when the original came out.

I have to say, I think Phantom Menace is the best of the prequel series. Yes Jar Jar was annoying, but not nearly as bad as people make him out.

AOTC was weak at best, there were some good moments. the fight with Obi Wan and Jango Fett was classic. Padme in skin tight spandex, very nice. the rest of the movie not so much.

Sith was good bit it felt rushed. Lucas had built up the storyline but then had to have Anikin turn evil in like 5 seconds. It was too fast. Maybe would have worked better if the guy could actually act but he is a piece of plywood.

I just never felt the same "magic" I got from the original trilogy on the prequels. Part of it was the cast (As others have said McGregor's Obi wan is pretty much the only likeable character. My problem throughout the whole thing is why the Jedi are so mean to each other, completly clueless to the trechery around them, and just not mystical enough for me. The whole movie feels like if the Jedi were nicer then Anakin would have not become Vader and that is just silly.
                            It's all good!

At the end of Jedi, if Vader was soooo bad and caused the deaths of millions of people including slaughtering children, would Obi and Yoda's ghosts be so quick to forgive him even if he supposedly turned good ?

Anakin seems like the kind of person you can't trust whether he's good or bad at a particular moment.
                              He's a backstabber.

He was only "good" for a short time ... He was bad Luke's entire lifetime

In the real world Obi and Yoda wouldn't forgive him so quickly
