So what's your take on the Dharma Initiative? Good guys or bad guys? I agree the new group (the shadow of the statue team) is probably the reconstituted DI. We've been conditioned to believe the Others are bad, the Purge was evil, but I'll bet we see the other's point of view on that pretty soon.
Yeah it doesn't seem like the Dharma Initiative just went away after the Purge....they've been laying low plotting for quite some time methinks...I'm a little suspicious of Eloise Hawkins actually. She's operating out of the old Dharma Lampost base and is the one who told the Oceanic Six which flight would help them return to the island. I'm wondering if she spilled the beans to anyone else...

Eloise is a trip. Very confusing. She and Widmore were in the Others together, he knows where she was in LA, yet she's bossing his enemy Ben around and working out of a DI post, and time travelling with Desmond...Makes you wish someone had her some freaking questions at the Lamppost. But no, they just go get on the plane...

That's one thing that frustrates me to no end with these bufoons They NEVER, EVER seem to share information with each other. So many problems could have been overcome if they just opened their mouths and communicated instead of being all moody with each other.

Read a spoiler for tonight's episode....this is gonna be a good one! "The Variable" is a companion piece of sorts to the outstanding "The Constant". Looking forward to this although the ending is gonna suck.

I don't follow any of the "Lost" speculation boards but this is starting to remind me of the Back to the Future movies.
Is this plot moving along some type of time continuum line ultimately ending up back to the very first episode with the plane never crashing and everyone on board (including the Oceanic 6) having no memory of ever having gone through the experience?

I'm thinking Daniel might be dead....to drive home the point that any of the Oceanic 6 (or Sawyer, or Miles, or Juliette) can die in the past, in 1977.
