Speculation has been since the beginning of this season when we saw Dr Chang wake up and take care of a baby that the baby was Miles. Nice to see that confirmed. I wonder if he will go back to the future and talk to his dead Father.

Great episode, I love Hurley. Polar Bear feces...

Glad to see Daniel back. I want to know more about him. Remember that scene when the wreckage of 815 was "found" and it showed him in a home with a caregiver and he was crying at the news and didn't know why? What was that about? Has he been stuck in a loop trying to save Charlotte over and over again? Hmmm.

So intersting to see the new, play it cool Jack. Previews make it look like all hell will soon break loose. Action Jack will be back.

I almost wonder if the entire series is going to end up being a fictional story that Hurley wrote.

Maybe that's a safe way to play it. I don't know. It is so intense; I don't see how they are going to pull it altogether and make all of us who have been watching since season 1 happy with it.

I also loved that Hurley was writing the script to "The Empire Strikes Back" since it is 1977 with his "improvements" to the movie somehow hoping that he can get it to Lucas before shooting begins.

I cannot see them doing a "St Elsewhere", the entire show was in the mind of a Downs child. I think the writers are better than that.

I can see the story coming full circle and the entire plane DOES end up on the bottom of the ocean with no survivors, and all this was a flash in the minds of the passengers as the plane goes down.

I was thinking last night I really hope everyone gets to live happily ever after. They've earned it. I doubt that will happen though. But this won't all be a dream.

That was another scenario I thought about. I'm not sure they could pull off an end to it without it being fictional in some form or another.

So what's up with this Ilana and Bram and the mysterious question "Do you know what lies in the shadow of the statue?" Sounds like there might be a fourth side to this equation...We've got the members of Oceanic 815, The Others (Ben and co.), Charles Widmore (formerly of the Others) and associates and now these new jamokes....Maybe the Dharma Initiative isn't so dead after all?

I'm wondering if it's going to have to come to a point where the 815, Ben and Widmore all have to converge and form an alliance against these new insurgents...

I meant to address "Shadows of the statue" as well. That is a new twist. Maybe Danial is one of the Other-Other's.

Check out this page. I have FORGOTTEN more about this show than I remember. Jeez, it's so complex.

From what I am gathering, I think all Flight 815 survivors (and few other people not part of the Others or Dharma group) have supernatural powers.

Desmond had flashes of the future.
Miles & Hurley talk to dead people.
John cannot die while on the island (and if dead and brought to island, is resurrected).
                        Jack performs medical miracles.
Walt can "flash" himself to different places.
Charlie had flashes of the future.
                        Mr Ekko saw dead people.

                        Anything else I am missing?

What blew my mind was taking what at first appeared to be a throwaway gag and then turning it into something completely poignant and character driven between Miles, Hurley and their relationships between their respective fathers.

I guess we can look at what Sawyer is doing as yet another one of his scams, but on a larger scale. And from past flashback episodes, we know how his scams turn out.

We're starting to see Jack start to steer things from the back-seat now with the way he handled Linus' dad.

I did see a flaw in the last episode. When Kate and Ben's father were drinking beer, the beers were stay tab cans, not pull tabs of the 70's.

How do you know Dharma beer wasn't ahead of its time with tab technology?
