Well, I think the latest stuff about the Smoke monster has been pretty great, and that traces to the beginning. The 4 toed statue appeared pretty early on and that's becoming a big issue now. I think they've always known what the deal is with the numbers but they haven't been fully revealed.

I heard them laughing about the Hurley bird on a podcast, a viewer was saying that it would be funny if Hurley in the 70's was seen training a Dharma bird to say his name.

I think a lot of the details come along as it is written, like Anthony said Michael Emerson was only supposed to be on for a few episodes and now he's the lynchpin of the series. I think they had a general plan on what was going on and that none of the details were placed there on accident, but they are certainly running out of time to cover a lot of ground.

Originally, I think they were going with the flow and trying to build as they went along...there was never a commitment to begin with on how long the show was going to run...it was open-ended. So they threw a lot of things out there to add to the mystery but now they're going to have to develop pay-offs very quickly, as the series is winding down. After the next couple of weeks and the season finale all we have left is one year. So it's going to be a break-neck pace to flesh everything out and hopefully give satisfactory answers to the majority of the questions. But I think this season is beginning to do just that...we're in for a wild ride.

I'm just hoping that the "Adam and Eve" skeletons they found early on don't turn out to be Jack and Kate due to some time travel mishap. I'd be pretty bummed if that happened. I'd rather they be Rose and Bernard. What exactly DID happen to those two anyway?

One thing that has me baffled, where are the rest of the flight 815 survivors, Rose, Benard, etc? If they were time travel flashing along with Sawyer, but never left the camp site, you think that atleast once in the three years Sawyer, Miles, Jin, etc are at the compound, they would have checked in on them.

I just watched the two final episodes of season 3, probably the best two episodes I have ever seen. It deals with the underwater station.

The title of tonight's episode is "Some Like It Hoth". The creators are big SW geeks, I wonder what's up? Previews showed a Miles-centric episode. I hope we get more fun with Miles and Hurley. Looks like Pierre Chang is featured, so we should get all kinds of cool info about the Dharma Initiative.

Has anyone watched the Comic-Con video? It's pretty amazing. It hinted at Faraday being in 1977 and mentioned LeFluer.

It definitely like the way the characters continue to evolve.

Benjamin used to annoy me to no end. He always seemed to get out of harm's way because of some secret only he knew. There were times in the previous season when I would think "someone just kill the guy and be done with his lame character already"

It is also interesting that Jack was annoying in the sense that he always did the right thing but this year, seems to not care while Sawyer (aka LaFleur) was the selfish jerk and now seems more of the protagonist.

John Locke is becoming increasingly interesting as it seems that he now knows things that not even Benjamin knows about the island (Benjamin seems sincerely scared of John).

I also agree that Jack will play a major role in the wrap of the show. His dead father has been a pretty major back story that no one is really sure about but I suspect his death in season 1 has something to do with John Lock's own death and apparent resurrection.

I hope they end the series trying to tie up as many loose ends as possible but kind of leaving it open ended so you really aren't sure how the story ends but leaves it up to the viewer to decide.

One of the on-line rumors/speculation is that Miles is the son of Pierre Chang (who we saw briefly as an infant in the season opener)...

According to this week's TV Guide articles, the Losties are going to have to soon deal with "The Incident" that took place at the Swan Hatch, which caused the numbers to have to be entered into the computer. And it also sounds like the jig is going to be up as far as "LaFluer" and his buddies. Uh-oh!

These two were wonderful characters, and given Rose's initial introduction in the first season, I was shocked that they never developed these two much further than her intuition about her husband being alive (and their reunion in season 2). Although I guess there are too many examples of characters who have felt the healing cure of the Island and debate amongst themselves whether to leave or not.

I hope things work out for them.

I was also hoping for much more in regards to the Mr Ecco and Anna Lucia arcs. Particularly given the impact of their introductions.

So, Miles can talk to dead people & Danial finally shows up. Great episode!!! Like some one said earlier, the interaction between Hurley and Miles is great, kind of like famous duos of the past, Laural & Hardy, etc.

You gotta love Hurley trying to rewrite "Empire Strikes Back".

So, how did Danial get off the island?

I'm curious about that as well....if they're stuck in '77 and have been there for 3 years (since '74), then Daniel must have left at some point during that time period. Remember when they first hit '74, he noticed young Charlotte and then he wasn't seen after that. Just before she died, Charlotte mentioned that a crazy old man had told her when she was a child to never return to the island because it meant death and she suspected that man was Daniel. They haven't shown that yet, so it must have happened at some point during those three years....Daniel seemed pretty bad off at that point. And exactly where does his appearance in the past in the season opener fit in (when he met Pierre Chang when they were drilling into the wall)?
