I liked the question on Talking Dead: "Will Daryl now be seeing Merle's ghost in a white dress?"

Oh heck yes. That got old fast. Since Rick looked up at the end and didn't see her I hope that it's over.

Folks, Lori's ghost is what keeps Rick from becoming The Govenor. I should think she will pop in from time to time to help him remember who he used to be. I thought the season ending was brilliant. There was nothing to focus on, nothing to worry about. No, will he get out of this, will she die. By giving us nothing to focus on, we are left to worry about everything. We are forced to create havoc in our own minds based on what we fear the most.

OK, I've finally caught up, and can now safely re-join this conversation!

To me, the second part of this season was the weakest so far. Up until then, I loved just about every episode. But since february, I see a lot of "filler" but not enough meat on the bone. Like the episode where the Governor and Rick powwow at that table. It's a throwaway story, they could have made it much more interesting. They could have made use of that hidden gun (and maybe Rick could have hidden his own weapon even before that in that room). It was just a lot of empty talk.
The fact that Rick would first sacrifice Michonne, but then changes his mind, doesn't redeem him. I no longer like or trust him.
The part where they ignore the backpacker (who then gets eaten) kind of annihilated any sympathy I had left for "our heroes". How cold was that? They take in Merle (a psycho), but not some poor sod running for his life?

Andrea's fight to the death could have been hard and brutal and could have really spiced up the finale. What a fight that could have been. Like Glenn tied to a chair against the walker. That was a great scene.

The fact that they remain in the prison also brought the whole show to a standstill. They don't make use of an interesting location, they just sit still. By the way, that baby is so well-behaved, it's freaky. You'd think it's some kind of....fake baby...right?

I'm still with the show, but it needs to get back on track. They should build some vehicles in A-Team style, and roam the wastelands. Get into more walker fights (ah, I so miss that scene in the tank in season 1). And Asskicker should..you know...kick ***....or at least fill some nappies...

              ...
              Same here,
              IMO kinda ruined his character.
It might be realistic writing, but if they take away all the audiences heroes nobody will care if they all die.
That turns a good series into an unwatched one, imo

I like Captain Kirk and Dr Who because I know I can depend of them ALL the time

The group is becoming so cutthroat (like Carl who just executes that other boy), it becomes hard to feel for them.

Btw, is it me, or are the more recent walkers totally inept at catching their dinner? It seems as if walkers out in the streets are no longer any threat at all. You just take your time, move in, stab them, and move on again. No big deal anymore.

If the series continues i'm wondering what they're planning on doing after so many months/years pass by.

The zombies are eventually going to be rotting to just bones --- and there isn't that many people still alive to replenish the zombie supply.

Basically all you have to do is lock yourself in the prison for a year and wait for the zombies to rot

While Carl's actions were indeed a bit cutthroat, I still think he was justified in what he did. He told that boy to put down his weapon--the boy hesitated so Carl took him out. Harsh? Yes but these sort of decisions are sometimes the difference between living and dying. Also, don't forget that boy had just come away from SHOOTING at his clan.

I'm wondering if we'll ever see a solution to the problem, or if it's just going to be survival until there's nobody left.

I'm also wondering just how strong the zombie virus is?
People die, and within minutes we see them with a zombie look, as if the rotting process is just accelerating at great speed.

That's one thing that's been bothering me. I could understand a change in the eyes for effect (a clouding over let's say), but it takes quite some time for actual decay to set in. Maybe it's explained in the books.

Maybe I'm nitpicking, but why do zombie teeth all rot?
We find remains of people, and even ones that are thousands of years old are usually clean and fairly normal looking. The flesh rots, but not teeth. Yet still, the walkers usually have the nastiest teeth. Perhaps for dramatic effect?

Personally, I'd let people who turn into walkers be very normal looking at first (having just died). Honestly, I'd find that scarier. You couldn't really tell until they attacked and bit you. Then a couple of days later, you start seeing the signs of rotting.

                            Good observation

Yea, the rotten teeth has to be part of the classic scary make-up -- like darkening under the eyes
