...or a small island, dispose of all existing Walkers there, and live off lobster and coconut juice for their rest of their lives in glorious peace, lol.
I think somewhere in the books it was revealed that normal decay agents such as bacteria & insects avoid the walkers as they don' t provide the nutrients normal dead flesh provides them to feed and breed. So you only have weather & accident/ wear & tear to pull them apart. But it also seems that once you zombie, then the bones & skin become more fragile, making the skull busting a bit easier, such as in the shovel crushed zombie in this weeks episode. Explains why Carol can puncture skulls with the same easy Rick or Daryl have. Almost as if all the strength & calcium etc in the heads has gone all into the teeth & jaws - zombie evolution.

Same here, but I felt that wouldn't happen. I wished they would have shown Andrea at least checking the truck for keys before she started walking again. Some were upset that the governor found her so quickly when she got to the prison, but it's not like he didn't know where she was going.
My pet peeve right now is exactly how are these walkers sneaking up on people? Especially in the woods?
We breathe and get tired they don't so in this case Andrea was running from them and then ran to avoid the car when she heard the engine. Fear plus exertion = mouth breathing or gulping for air. It's very noisy and prevents you from hearing what's around you. it takes huge discipline to only breathe through your nose and breathe evenly. Add in the natural noise in woods (leaves russle in the wind) even assuming the walkers already killed the local animals the birds could get away and would still be adding to ambient noise
I would guess not. I haven't read the books, but have yet to see a zombie animal on the show. If I recall correctly the animals the zombies have chowed down on were already dead or "given" to them.
