The Walking Dead on AMC

I dont know Hector, but I dig the way Rick is being portrayed. He is in a constant struggle and is forced to make the hard choices. Lori appears as his conscience. Keep in mind, Shane was the bad guy in the triangle, not her. Shane lied to her about Rick being dead. In her mind, she was single. As soon as she found out he was alive, not only was she ****ed, she wanted to be with her husband. It is like he and the Govenor are polar oppisites, right and wrong, good and evil. As Rick shows, we all have both tendancies, yet he always retuens to his humanity. The Govenor has allowed his to slip away. He is also draw out the remaining humanity from those who follow him. This is really close to real life too.
The one thing I struggle with is the Gov being able to whip Meryl hand to hand. This needs to be explained in some kind of sidebar story, a flashback to real life where we can see who and what the Gov was before the walkers came.

That's because Merle was beaten to a pulp and softened up by the Governor's henchmen prior, the Governor then easily overpowered Merle.

I get what you are saying about Rick, that's why I love the show, all the characters have flaws...but I still hate him, lol.

Yeah, the host is kinda annoying, he tries too hard to be funny.

But I watch it because of the guests, especially cast members...and all the behind scenes stuff.

Anybody else notice the "Dawn of the Dead" Zombie walking out of the store towards Meryl's car.

The cameo of the plaid shirt zombie was a treat. The show definitely won't be the same without Merle.

They're been doing this for quite a few weeks now.

I hate it and have to turn it off everything that commercial comes on.

It's not fair they're aloud to do shock commercials

I've been reading the collected hardcovers as well as been watching the series. I do enjoy the fact that the comic and show borrow from each other without being the same thing. There are characters that appear in the book that you don't see in the show and the same can be said for the other. Daryl who is one of my favorite characters in the show has yet to appear in the comic. The season finale should be amazing....so far all of the cliff hanger endings have been that way. Where you watch the last 10 minutes with your mouth wide open.

You crack me up, Mikey! You are watching a show where every week gruesome zombies get their heads popped like overripe pumpkins. Where they callously ignore a hitchhiker's pleas for help and leave him to die, and then ransack his gear. Where they show the torture and rape of prisoners. I could go on and on.

And yet.... the commercials are the part that you find too disturbing to watch!

Nothing shocking there for me,I don't even find that remotely disturbing?
My uncle looked like that before he died he was 48 no teeth,half a jaw,hole in his throat and whittled away to bone and skin.
It's just a cold reality.
I find the commercial about elder abuse more disturbing than that one.
