Got the same two discs at the same store tonight. Big Lots has really helped my Hammer horror collection.

I've been checking out the movie deals at Wal-Mart and Big Lots this week and picked up the following:
    Arachnophobia $5.00
Battlestar Galactica (the original 2 hour movie from the 70's) $5.00
    Harry and the Hendersons $5.00
    The Ice Pirates $3.00
Angels in the Outfield (the 1951 version) $3.00
Cabin In the Sky (Heaven and Hell battle for the soul of Rochester Anderson) $3.00
I also scored a bunch of non-genre Bette Davis movies.

    >I felt like emailing him too and giving him a thumbs up.

He wrote back! AND answered my weird questions! Turns out the mumbling hero was doing a Clint Eastwood impression.

Dunno how many letters he gets about it, but if you feel the need:

The guy did a HUGE variety of films; everything from big budget stuff to grade Z.

Maybe not strictly a "horror" film per se, but filled with many horror elements, I picked up CORALINE on Blu-ray. Great film (it's ending up on many film critics' Best of 2009 lists and I can see why) and it looks absolutely stunning in HD, one of the best transfers I've seen. And it's really cool to see that the art of stop motion animation isn't dead yet.
