I've been checking out the movie deals at Wal-Mart and Big Lots this week and picked up the following:
Arachnophobia $5.00
Battlestar Galactica (the original 2 hour movie from the 70's) $5.00
Harry and the Hendersons $5.00
The Ice Pirates $3.00
Angels in the Outfield (the 1951 version) $3.00
Cabin In the Sky (Heaven and Hell battle for the soul of Rochester Anderson) $3.00
I also scored a bunch of non-genre Bette Davis movies.

Maybe not strictly a "horror" film per se, but filled with many horror elements, I picked up CORALINE on Blu-ray. Great film (it's ending up on many film critics' Best of 2009 lists and I can see why) and it looks absolutely stunning in HD, one of the best transfers I've seen. And it's really cool to see that the art of stop motion animation isn't dead yet.Leave a comment:
