I have a question to ask you Dwayne and it's a serious one and an honest one. If you're swimming in the ocean and come across a unique species or unidentified species not cataloged by science would you know it? I would like for you to answer it honestly instead of trying to anticipate my purpose because I am not looking to examine anything other than possibilities here.

There is not one single piece of evidence to prove there is a creature that is described as "bigfoot". No bone. No hair. No grave. No photo. No video. No trophy head. No skin. No claw. No nail. No tooth. No den. No dwelling. No nest. No bigfoot eggs. No scat. Nothing...
There is evidence of hoax, though. I could pull a hoax off with ease. Hydrospan a casting of my foot and I would have some convincing "evidence" to prove bigfoot existed.
I'd love to believe there was a sasquatch. I had a cat with extra claws in the mid 70's that I named Sasquatch.Comment

If they do indeed find and kill a bigfoot, it should be skinned, stuffed, and mounted. Also the meat should be cooked and sold for a couple million dollars per portion to rich people who like exotic animal cuisine. Hopefully it'll be a pregnant female, so we can know how many offspring they have. They could harvest the rest of her eggs and wait until a male is killed. They could then harvest the sperm and create their own babies and breed them for zoos.
Planet Of The Apes takes place in the United States. Maybe it's the skunk ape that is the original talking smart ape...Comment

Well, while we are throwing quotes around here...
"Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence."
Carl Sagan
I'm a bit of a skeptic, but I am a fan of crytozooology and folklore, so I enjoy watching shows of this ilk. In Search Of with Leonard Nimoy was a staple of my childhood and opened some many avenues of investigation and possibility for me, that I have never stopped asking questions and investigating possibilities.

You know, as much as I'm a fan of fantasy/comics/horror/science fiction, I'd really love it if there was something to all of this. I just find it hard to believe that, in this day and age, no hard concrete evidence has ever turned up, if there really is such a creature. Like Lonnie points out, no remains, dwellings, clear photos, etc have ever been produced. I know it's a big world, but it gets smaller every day, and I can't believe all traces could remain hidden this long. I don't begrudge anyone their own personal theories, though.Comment

In my heart of hearts I want there to be a creature known as Bigfoot out there. I also want Ghosts and UFO's to be real as well. I've seen something ghost'ish I couldn't explain, and something UFO'ish my father and I couldn't explain. Doesn't mean I'm a believer, but I'm not going to shut down that part of my brain that won't accept the possibility there's krypto type stuff out there.Comment

That's why it's interesting to note that there are no Bigfoot sightings where there shouldn't be any...Hawaii is a perfect example. There was never any way for an ape species to migrate there from Asia...hence, no Bigfoot reports come from there.
Now to address Lonnie's assertions that there is no evidence...well, that's bunk. There have been plenty of pieces of evidence. There are photos, videos, nests, tree structures, vocalizations, etc.
Lonnie's claim that he could cast his own footprint and fool any true expert betrays his ignorance on the subject. I'm not going to get into it any further than that.
In 45 years I have never seen one black bear in Ohio. I've never seen any bones, or nests. I guess that means they don't exist right? That's how utterly stupid that argument is. There are currently 200,000 to 300,000 chimpanzees living in the wild, and over thousands of years millions have lived and died. How many chimpanzee remains have ever been found? TWO. Out of MILLIONS.
Gorillas...elephants...giant squid...all were once thought to be myths. Thankfully, science eventually won out and proved them all.Comment

None?
Yes.
But, not bigfoot...
My arguments are not stupid. They are based in facts, not theories. Bigfoot is theoretical, your black bear is factual.
P.S. There are no bigfoot "experts"...Last edited by LonnieFisher; Feb 5, '17, 5:24 PM.Comment

Second story is about Cabbits (rabbit and cat crossbreed). Long and boring, but was told by a science teacher it was possible, fast forward 12 years and told impossible (only thing I could find online was about a Pokemon), and two weeks ago I looked it up and now they (people, experts, science??) say it is possible.
I havent watched the show you mentioned as I usually like the dry documentary type as I find the usual fare these days being too dramatic for my taste.Comment

Well, let's see one real picture. Or one real nest. Where is this evidence? Where is the hair that was retrieved from the nest? What was the DNA result from the tests?
None?
Has anybody else in Ohio seen one? Or taken a picture? Or have a skin?
Yes.
