Yeah, I know he was very popular in Cleveland...but he's not very good anymore.

Varajeo was on his way out here...but now that Durant is coming...the big Brazilian might be the Warriors only option for a center...he will come cheap...if he could only stopped flopping, lol. But seriously, his best days are behind him, we need new blood.

Warriors first round draft pick, Vanderbilt's Damian Jones...please turn out to be a good center, hurry up, lol...

Trade Westbrook, for sure. I don't think they can acquire anyone, so they should try to get something for him. The Harden trade was terrible. They don't get enough grief for that. If you are going to trade him, you have to do better than what they got.

There isn't any love for the competitive spirit I mentioned like it once was. It's strictly business and he's desperate for a championship ring.

As an OKC fan, that was like a Draymond Green kick to the groin. Durant is a really good man, teammate, and ball player and he is going to be missed here. He did what he felt he needed to do and I think it was in spite of genuinely liking Oklahoma City and the fans. He knows he's loved here and I'm sure that made the decision harder for him.

Now back to basketball. I have absolutely no ill-will towards him, but I certainly can't root for his success for obvious reasons. It will be interesting to see how this plays out because it is far from a given that OKC will suck or not be a contender without him.

You're right but sadly anymore in all sports it's all about the business aspect. A lot of the time now you're not remembered for how great of a player you were but how many championships you acquired. You hear the phrase, "He (she) was a great player but never won a championship." all too often.

You just named every single pro athlete in the world.

Leave the competitive spirit to the amateurs...or many Olympians...and even they wanna get paid.

Besides, Durant gave nine long years to the Thunder...a title never materializes, it was time to move on.

At the end of the day, whether you agree or not, Durant did the best for him and his family.

Even the old timers, who got paid very little back in the day, and sometimes had to get a regular second job to make ends meet...practically all of them say they would have absolutely no problem whatsoever doing the same thing these new athletes do...and that is move if the opportunity rises, try to make as much money as possible (although Durant took less), shoot for a championship at any cost. And that's exactly what the great Jerry West said to Durant (paraphrasing, different wording, same meaning) in their conversation.

All that old ways of the past...is romanticized dodo bird droppings...

Former coach PJ Carlissimo said this of Durant: He's unselfish, he distributes the ball, he cares about his teammates, and he's the easiest player to coach. After a decade, it was time to move on...a fresh start. The Warrios will mesh with him more effectively, as they are not an isolation team like the Thunder. Durant will have easier shot attempts, no hero ball stuff. Him and Westbrook just couldn't co-exist anymore. This is not rocket science. Maybe the rest of the league hates this new regime...but not Northern California/Bay Area...oh no, trust me...we are all going to be partying the much harder today...

I can't wait to see the next season of games. This KD move will have other teams reconsidering their rosters, but we've known KD was moving on for a while now, it just official until now. I wonder if we can expect another power player trade to shake things up elsewhere.

I don't think it was a given that Durant was going to move on. He got the situation that allowed for it, but it wasn't like he was in a bad situation and had to go.

Oklahoma fans are angry and disappointed.

Well, imagine how Seattle fans felt...when the Sonics left their town...and became the Thunder.

Seattle lost Durant first, then Oklahoma...now it's the Bay Area's turn to host Durant.
