Love those Coleco arcade games. You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...Comment

This is a one that got away story. Went to the thrift store yesterday. Stopped along the way to get a soda. When I get to the thrift store there is a guy in line holding a cardboard bow with 2 vintage joes. Both of them were red haired non fuzz haired. They were both clothed and he had a locker full of stuff. Total was $45. I shouldn't have stopped for that dumb soda. I did pick up a motorized razor for the kids for $8 and it works great.Comment

---^ and that regretful feeling stays with you for quite some time. I hate that.
I saved up all this month's stuff, as it's just been trickling in. I acutally found a local used store that seems to be fruitful quite often! Which is great because local sales have been more stagnant this year. I did miss a weeking of g-saling too, now I'm wondering what I missed! (:O
This'll probably be the last haul o' the year. The things I love most in here are the vintage yellow Kreiss ceramic figure, Mezco Attack of the Living Dead figures, Halloween rats, Giant Weepul, LOTR Lothlorien, and Foo Dogs! ...especially the Foo Dogs. ^-^ Oh, and SHRUNKEN HEAD.
Here's a price breakdown for the uninterested: (:P
Two-headed 90s Applause Dragon .50,
Giant Weepul!! $1,
huge Doozy bird marionette 4.99 (used store),
little rare foam fairy house 3.99 (good for photos!) (used store),
3 Mezco Attack of Living Dead $10 total!,

Super awesome vinyl rubber Halloween rats 3.99 ea (my new best friends)(used store),

Here's my "haul"! Haha. Hulk games is mostly complete and the Casper vinyl is perfect despite the cover being a little rough. I only spent four dollars...five if you count the lemonade and cupcake I got from the kids.Expectation is the death of discovery.Comment

Might be able to use some of those JEM accessories.
Still nothing on my end. My latest strategy is just going to local sales and trying to hit as many as I can on Saturday before calling it a day at 12:00 noon. I don't bother looking at craigslist anymore (especially since making fake sales is the new thing).
The competition in my area is insanity.Comment

That giant Weepul is wicked cool. You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. Hit a rare Thursday yard sale during the late afternoon after the rain had stopped. Nothing earthshaking but still some fun stuff. All in all a fun day. Tomorrow should be better.
Talking animated Rocky figure in the ring. He moves around his head, shoulders and fists and says about 5-7 different phrases. He tends to topple over easy but for $1 I couldn't pass him up.
It's a Michelob beer bottle ..... or is it? It's a working flashlight!!!!! 25 cents worth of coolness
Nintendo Zelda 2 game .50 cents, I have no way of knowing if it works or not but it's very clean.
finally one item that I really like. A rare Prince 1999 8 track tape, $1, you just don't find many 8 tracks from 1982.Plays super good despite the writing on the front.

Harry Potter LEGO sets at the Goodwill
I found an incomplete 4730 (Chamber of Secrets) for $6.99. With box and instructions. I only wanted the pieces, so it really didn't matter if it was complete, because the bricks were going to be used for other projects. Then, I realized that the unused minifigures were in demand. The set contained a few that were unique to that set only (basilisk and Gilderoy Lockhart) I parted out the figures and sold them for over 50 dollars. And I got to keep a large stash of generic grey and black bricks.
Hagrid's Hut (4707) almost complete for $2.49. It only took another $5.00 of unique parts (keys, baby dragon) from Bricklink to complete the set.Comment
