Went to an estate sale yesterday and grabbed all of this from the 1 house. Hit a few others but just picked up a few albums, dvds sets and stuff like that.
1960s Overman Swivel Pod Chair $5
sack full of 758 Baseball cards from 1953 - 1974 no big names but still only $10
yeah I love it. They had a $10 sticker price on it and a lady saw me looking at it and said, if you'll take it you can have it for $5. Shoot I would have been happy to pay the $10 all day long!
Maybe the Muppet fans around here know about this guy:
I saw this Rowlf puppet at a flea market today and thought it might be a fisher price item from the late 70s, like most of the vintage muppet puppets are....
When I saw the Ideal tag I was confused--I had no idea that Ideal had made Muppet puppets--had never even heard of an Ideal muppet toy. Well as it turns out, this guy is from 1965! He represents the very earliest of Muppet merchandise (pre sesame street, pre muppet show). Fairly scare toy, actually....he set me back $26......
Sheesh, that is a heck of a find. I was looking into the Ideal Muppet toys and this piece has to be so rare. It would be interesting to have an idea of how well this Ideal Muppet line sold and how much of it still exists (in any condition). Your Rowlf looks like he is in beautiful shape.
Despite having a five month old attached to me and despite it being october, these were my brief hauls on Friday garage sailing...
portland hipsters love their old alligator boots, middling concert shirts, Dakin love, and other stuff including my favorite.. a working 1964 new york world's fair coin bank that ejects the coin into the globe
This thread always reminds me that functional vintage antiques still resell well, like stereo equipment and mid century furniture...

Oh, you live in Portland. I bet the garage sales there are off the hook. Nice retro stuff you found there!
and.... TRRRROOOOOOLLLLLLL!!
with .....earrings.
$4 each. The cool vintage mohair Dam trolls (not ucky Russ!). Rare dark blue eyes on the white hair!
and a bunch of utter cheap junk, but what colorful junk!
I put the awesome glow in the dark mask on a stand, so I can put it in a corner and scare myself as I walk through at night.
I didn't exactly logic out why I would want to scare myself.
