1998 Isuzu Hombre. Why?Because i need a truck to haul stuff both for myself and my job and i needed something better on gas than the gas guzzling 5.9L Dodge Ram i had before. One vehicle i really dont like and i dont know what its actually classified as,a car?,a truck?,a van? a cardboard box on wheels? is this thing.

2005 Honda Pilot (wife’s car now)....Last two cars before the Pilot were both Accords. As long as you are up on your general maintenance a Honda motor will outlast the body in most cases.

2005 GMC Safari….. Only used for work.

And thinking of picking up a 1963 Buick Skylark I looked at in PA this weekend for a restoration project.

I don't have a car. The last car I had I sold in 1992 when I moved back to the Bay Area after my divorce. It was a 1980 Volkswagen Rabbit.

I truly love the trunk space in my 500. I just miss not having any real towing capacity.

Regarding the car I hate the most, is the Chevy HHR Cube car things. UGLY. Although the mini coopers are ugly too.

                The same two rides I had five years ago, a 1992 F150 302 shortbed truck, and a 1964 1/2 289 Mustang coupe.

Those are great cars. I'd love to get a Saturn Sky, but I'd be afraid it'll be hard to get parts for down the road since they only made it a few years.

I'm also one of those guys who likes to drive a car until the wheels fall off. My car is 17 years old and I'm hoping to get at least another five years out of it, then I might consider buying something built in this century. I'd kind of like a Volvo wagon because my brother's Volvo drives really nice, and also for the nerdly reason that it's what Gus Fring drives on Breaking Bad.

2002 Hyundai Santa Fe. I wanted a lite sport utility and liked it better than the Ford Escape or the Honda or Toyota. Price was right, reviews were good. It's looking a little rough around the edges, paint looks sad. We're going to drive it until my kid gets old enough that the vehicle isn't just a big box filled with cracker crumbs and playground sand and smells of fermented apple juice.

We rental drove a Mustang once and liked it. Then we had to choose between a cool new car and having a kid...so we reproduced. His middle name should be Mustang or BMW.

Our other is a 1998 Jetta that also needs a paint job but only has 76k on it and is likely to run for another 20 years. Fun as heck to drive, but no headroom.

I remember reading somewhere where the auto maker was required to main a certain level of parts for all makes that they've stop manufaturing. That means while your local Chevy garage may not have the part, one in the next town over would.
I know what you mean about keeping a car along time. The Solstice replace a 1992 Geo Metro.Quite an upgrade huh

Hummer H2. Most reliable vehicle I have ever owned. I bought it new in 2007. It has 70,000 miles on it, AND, I have never put a dollar into it for repairs. The only money I have ever spent on it was oil changes and wiper blades. It still has the factory tires on it.

Honest question here, what kind of gas milage does it get?

1998 Camry. My parent's next door neighbor is a retired Toyota mechanic and spends all of his time buying junked Camry's and refurbishing them from front to back for resale. If anything goes wrong with my car, he's got it covered and for a third of what it would cost anywhere else. Plus he's the most picky mechanic you could ever meet, he notices every little thing.

He bought a 1999 Camry from someone for 200 dollars, they couldn't get it to run and had purchased another vehicle. He replaced the cylinoid and timing belt, gave it an oil change and new tires and resold it for 4000. He flips around ten to twelve cars a year like this on top of his pension. Not too shabby.
I almost had a psychic girlfriend but she dumped me before we met.

If anyone here believes in psychokinesis, please raise my hand.
