What Car do you drive and why?

And what car or truck if any do you see that you hate?

I drive a Black 2003 Toyota Highlander. I bought it new (first and only car I have ever bought new), needed a reliable car/truck that could get me to work despite conditions (I live right in the mid-atlantic state of Maryland that receives all the seasons...hot summers, cold winters, and wanted something that could get me to work in a snowstorm and thought it was the best mid-size 4wd SUV). I would rather own a classic car like a 1960's Stang or any Corvette. but not practical for my family or weather.

Worst car I have ever seen is the Smart car (and I apologize in advance to anyone who owns one). I would almost say worst car is one of those big honkin Hummers that are no longer made but when I see some guy in a Smart car which is the ugliest car in the world; I want to run him over with my lame Highlander. So favorite and worst car?

I've never driven or owned a car. I don't even have a licence.
I do have a little pedal car, I can go at least a couple of miles per hour in that one...

          VW GTI.

Accelerates fast. Corners fast. Stops fast. Light on gas. All the fun of a Type R or a WRX without the boy-racer looks. I've been thrashing it daily for four years and it hasn't missed a beat, although I do chew through brakes and tyres.

Dislikes: Meh, I'm a live and let live kinda guy. Just stay in the slow lane unless overtaking and we'll be fine.

When I do drive, I have a 2001 Mustang GT and a 1970 Mustang coupe for the summer. For winter, or a clutch foot that is a cast, (like right now), I have a 2004 Chevy Malibu. I started out a Pontiac gal back in high school with a 1969 Firebird. But in the pre easy-parts-via-the-internet days of early the 90s, I switched over to Mustangs because of the abundance of fun aftermarket parts that were available through catalogs. And Mustangs stuck!

However, due to severe and increasing motion sickness, I am lucky if I drive once a week anymore. Common sense says, it is time to sell the newer Mustang. My emotions say, when I do drive, I still deserve a fun car to make up for all the days I cannot drive. As for the 1970, my husband can dope me up on Dramamine and drive me to car shows until the day comes when I keel over and then maybe bury me in my dream car.

2006 Triumph Speedmaster. Been on a Triumph kick this decade; made my way through a Thruxton and a 1050 Tiger before picking up the Speedmaster. Maybe a late 90's Thunderbird triple is next on the list. Or a Speed Triple... or a Street Triple... or a...

1997 Mercury Sable. I drive it because it's reliable and in good condition and I got it for $2K. No joke--the sole previous owner was a little old lady. If I won the lottery tomorrow, I'd still only buy decent used cars. I just drive them until the repairs total what I initially paid, then go get another. I usually get about seven years out of one.

2010 Ford Escape. It's big enough to carry my fat butt around comfortably, but still handles and drinks gas like a car. The salesman also did a good job on me.

I like the lines on the Solstice and I'm not even a car guy. Have you seen the extended hard top kits for those?
