I came for the galleries when I started collecting again. Actually, I wasn't really collecting yet. I had picked up an 8" Superman to tide me over until I get recapture a Batman figure. Holding that Supes and finding the galleries here ignited the collecting fire. I couldn't get enough Mego. I lurked here, but couldn't resist jumping in.

Came here originally looking for Trek info,Trek parts and Trek customs.
I found the marketplace and dropped E-bay.Found the customs and can't stop looking at the awesome work people have done.I just love customs there are so many talented people here it is just crazy.Plus I have never been to a forum where everybody actually gets along and are courteous to others.I think its because megos were made with LOVE!!!

This is all pretty sketchy now but I discovered the "old" museum in 1997,(?), sometime after August of that year. Aug 1997 being the date when I first got a modem and signed on to see what this "internet" thing was all about. I think the MM was metioned in Toyfare since they were doing all the Twisted Mego Theater's then.

I looked through all the Museum's knowledge but never registered to use the message boards. There were so many bells and whistles for the web page that I never figured out how to join and post. I regret that because I could have been one of the oldest members here.

I like coming here to see the new figures people make. How people create the characters never made because 8" figures went out of style & Mego went out of business.

I thought the museum didn't get a message board until 2001? I remember checking the museum out around 1998 and don't remember a message board at all.....

Dude thats a great question. I sat here for a long time and thought about that.
The question is too big to ansewer,so I'll tell ya why I stay. Great people, good times, awsome customs with loads of talent. Great community of very good people.
If the Museum was a town it would be a great place to live with fantastic neighbors.
              Long Live the Museum.
