I heard Poison on our local classic rock station. Holy God! Poison.

For me classic rock is the 70's stuff like Deep Purple, Rainbow, Triumph Journey and Styx.

Poison? Classic? THe music industry of the future is doomed.

I almost had a psychic girlfriend but she dumped me before we met.

If anyone here believes in psychokinesis, please raise my hand.

One thing that makes me feel very old is reading the comments on YouTube or on some of the news sites I peruse. These kids don't let something like complete ignorance of a given topic or a total "un-command" of the English Language keep them from getting right in there and playing what amounts to a verbal "King of the Hill". All cogent thought is lost in a shouting match of capital letters "BECAUSE WE R ANGRY AT THE THOUGHT OF YOU NOT RECOGNIZING ME AS THE ZENITH OF HUMAN THOUGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

I think reason requires a certain amount of humility, civility, and a lack of ego that these young'ns seem to feel is a sign of weakness.

Also, I see a grand paradox of how they use the Internet. They have all of the information there is to be had within a few keystrokes. You'd think this would make them a force, but since they have never had to truly research anything, they have no idea of how to "check into" something. It's like they have command of an F-16, but, since they never learned to fly, all they can do is sit on the tarmac and fire guns and missiles and look cool in their pilot outfit.

The newest radio station here in OKC is billing itself as, "The Next Generation of Classic Rock".

                  Here is their updated playlist.
KBRU - The Brew 94.7 FM Oklahoma City, OK - Listen Online

I listen to this and I hear some blips of greatness, but overall, it is crap compared to what my parents got to experience. However, it looks like Mozart compared to what came after. This stuff now....occasional blip aside, is uber-crap.

There was something for sale in the paper today, the ad something like "Antique from the 1970s." I think that sums it up right there.

Yeah, stuff from the 1970s is like stuff from the 1930s when we were kids.

The college interns at work look like babies!

Not wanting to go out for drinks with co-workers or friends on a week night, because I will be too tired in the morning....

And 4.50 for a slice of pizza and a coke!!!! What?

Perfectly, since we're living the same 20 years over and over and over. (Remember that in the 90's, the 70's were popular.)

Things that make me feel old?

                            the new wrestling fans.

They donīt care about the classic wrestlers from the eighties and donīt WANT to know about them. They constantly pick STUPID picks for the next figures they want to see. They have the dumbest ideas about wrestling...

It makes me ashamed to be a fan anymore.

How many people here have heard this one?

At a restaurant, movie theater, shopping mall, or where ever people congregate and music is playing softly inthe background....

The Who starts playing... and at least one kid will turn to another and say the following:

"Hey, it's the theme to CSI!"

My gray hair creeping up on my go T and waking up in the middle of the night to use the restroom. Not getting carded for beer. $4 for a comic book that used to be 25 cents
