At a young age (she was probably 2), I taught my oldest daughter that:
The Fonz says "Aaaaaaay"
Buckwheat says "O-Tay"
and "The Rock Just Lay The Smack Down"
My youngest daughter was able to look at my boxed WGSH collection and tell you who was in each box without being able to read. AND she could properly pronounce "Mr. Mxyzptlk".
Future generations will thank meThink OUTSIDE the Box! For the BEST in Repro & Custom Packaging!Comment

I was at a restaurant in LA a few months ago with some friends after we saw a movie. We were sitting in a booth right behind four girls, that looked to me, to be in their mid-late twenties. They were cute and were giggling and carrying on about whatever, when I noticed one of them kind of looking over at us. She locked eyes with me, flashed a really quick smile then looked down at her plate. This of course, piqued my interest and curiosity. I'm thinking to myself; "Yeah, she's checking me out... I still got it." She did it a few more times over the course of the evening and then turned to one of her friends and whispered something in her ear, pointing over to me...
The girl to whom she was whispering, without missing a beat, turns completely around, looks at me and says back to her friend; "Yeah, he's cute... In a dad sorta way..."
True story.

Realizing there is almost twice as much time gone since "Happy Days" first aired until now, compared to the amount of time between when it first aired and when the time it was set in. I remember watching it in the 70's and thinking the 50's was LONG time ago (but it was less than 20 years earlier).
For instance, I bummed a bunch of my friends out when I pointed out that we were half way between 16 and 65. I could see the dismissive looks and then the shock when they did the math. 16 seems like yesterday.Comment
