Young Girls seem to be the theme...and I am no excepting.

I remember walking through the Mall when I was 20...and all the Girls my age would be checking me out. Now when I walk through, it's the 40 something Woman that me check out. It just not the same.
I think Men never think they're old...we still see our selfs as the same 20 year old Guys in our Minds.

I used to get my hair colored for fun, now I get it colored to cover the grey.

Seeing myself skinnier in past photos of me.

My boss commented yesterday that all the teen idols I grew up w/ are old: Shaun Cassidy will be 52 in September, David Cassidy is 60, Rick Springfield will be 61 in October, and Michael Jackson would have been 52 next month. (RIP)

Hearing myself say things like ,"I have a bad knee", or "My back really hurts today"...I can remember watching those pain killer commercials on TV and wondered what they were talking about.
"Do you believe, you believe in magic?
'Cos I believe, I believe that I do,
Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic
If your mission is magic your love will shine true."

I was at a restaurant in LA a few months ago with some friends after we saw a movie. We were sitting in a booth right behind four girls, that looked to me, to be in their mid-late twenties. They were cute and were giggling and carrying on about whatever, when I noticed one of them kind of looking over at us. She locked eyes with me, flashed a really quick smile then looked down at her plate. This of course, piqued my interest and curiosity. I'm thinking to myself; "Yeah, she's checking me out... I still got it." She did it a few more times over the course of the evening and then turned to one of her friends and whispered something in her ear, pointing over to me...

The girl to whom she was whispering, without missing a beat, turns completely around, looks at me and says back to her friend; "Yeah, he's cute... In a dad sorta way..."

            True story.

Things that make you feel old.

Not being embarrassed being seen at the grocery store or a farmers market

Having the car windows rolled down listening to Misty Mountain Hop turned all the way up thinking you're the coolest person ever -- and young people look at you with that annoyed "oh my god" look.

Your regular doctor's check-up includes the dreaded finger up your butt.

The thing that makes me feel the oldest is looking at my parents. They will soon be in their 70s and it's just odd for me to watch them as they enter TRUE old age....

Well, my son is attending college this fall and my daughter just turned into a teenager yesterday (well, at least officially by age. She has been a teenager for some time now). So, I am feeling pretty old.

Realizing there is almost twice as much time gone since "Happy Days" first aired until now, compared to the amount of time between when it first aired and when the time it was set in. I remember watching it in the 70's and thinking the 50's was LONG time ago (but it was less than 20 years earlier).

If "Happy Days" aired today and was set in the same amount of time in the past as it was set in the 70's, it would be set in the early 90's. (if that makes sense)

Remembering when cars cost $5000 on the "Price is Right".

Finding toys at garage sales (Transformers, 3" GI Joes), and while knowing they are vintage and very collectible, realizing I was too old to play with these toys when they came out.

Bumping into friends from high school and finding out they are GRANDPARENTS!!!!

Knowing I have been alive during NINE presidents have been in office.

Having Kids of my own ...
Loosing Hair, and gaining it in places I didn't want it..., That's a BS Trade off.
Sitting in this Chair, and feeling a pinching pain in my left hip
Shoveling my Balls off and feeling it
Video Games ...., I can barley even have the skills to beat them these days,.... let alone try to play them.
Fashin ....., I just don't get whats Kids wear, and hair style for boys these days.
"Lingo" .... My Son comes home with some stuff, ... That sometimes , I have No Idea what he is even saying. It almost sounds foreign.

OK, ok, here's a new one tonight....!!

I just went in to assist a young sergeant with some powerpoint editing, and instead of saying 'hit enter', I said, off the cuff, 'just hit the carriage return'..

.. was the look he gave me..

He didn't have a CLUE what I just said.

                            D'oh..

Perfectly, since we're living the same 20 years over and over and over. (Remember that in the 90's, the 70's were popular.)
