If I was writing the story, LeBron's character would have one of them, whaddya' call it?..Albacores around his neck.

The truth for you is, and you need to let this sink in a little, how he left and realize that if he doesn't grow up a little bit, he will do the same to you guys, if given the chance. I can't imagine how he could treat his home town fans that way and not crap all over you guys, too, if given the chance. Those fans loved him, he knew that, and he was well-loved enough to have made the move without ripping their hearts out in the manner that he did.
      Thank you. Well said.

            You are correct, indeed.

Man, the whole history of the NFL franchises can make your head spin. Forget about the stuff that came before we were born like the Los Angeles Buccaneers or the fact that the Cleveland Rams joined the league to replace the St. Louis Gunners. Then the Cleveland Rams became the Los Angeles Rams then the St. Louis Rams and the St. Louis Cardinals (who were once the Chicago Cardinals who then merged with Pittsburgh in 1944 to become an NFL team known as Card-Pitt and Pittsburgh the previous season, had merged with Philly to become the Steegles). Now the St. Louis Cardinals are the Phoenix Cardinals.

It's like marriages in a Soap Opera. You'd swear someone lost track and cousins got hitched.

all i know is that this has the potential to be special and I'm going to enjoy it as a true die hard heat fan this is a dream come true for us

I think it will be great for the NBA as well, these guys will sell out every home game and road game, so it helps out crappy teams as well

Cleveland fans could have felt the same way about LeBron if they had been given the chance. It's not about the leaving and I don't recall Jason Taylor leaving on bad terms with the fans, on either of the two occasions he has left Miami. In fact, when he left for Washington, there were trade discussions and tension with The Big Tuna who wanted to act like Taylor should suck it up while all of that was going on and knowing full well they were shucking the guy , yet he came back for a second stint with the Dolphins, even after all of that BS.

he wanted to stay in Hollywood with dancing with the stars(which I get) and then stay longer to explore a hollywood career and didn't want to come back to training camp

so the Tuna was mad that he chose Hollywood over football, that's why they traded him the first time

It is about him leaving, you guys are kidding yourselves if you think all these people would'nt still be bad mouthing him if he would've done it differently

the owner knows his franchise just went the down the toilet and he won't be able to make anymore money of off him and Cleveland knows they don't have anyone else accept maybe Drew Carrey and he's in L.A

I'm sorry but that city is nothing without him(sports wise) and they know it

come on that owner talks about loyalty yet he fires a coach who had the best record in the NBA the last 2 years? he got what he deserved, i would'nt doubt if the ex-head coach was the one who told James to do it as well

C'mon, D, you're better than that. No matter where someone is from, they generally have pride in the place and no one wants to hear they deserve it because they are from an inferior town. Believe me, I know...being from Oklahoma and all.

You see, you being able to make those comments, in light of the circumstances, is exactly why people from Cleveland feel so crapped on....by a home town Dude.

The fact that a nice guy like you feels compelled to defend him to this degree should be a sign to you that there is something wrong with the whole deal.

I meant the owner deserved it

naw I really do feel for the Cavs fan, I probably would've lost it if Wade had left

But had Wade left he would have had some class and wouldnt have done it the way Bron did. Man I was big on Lebron so much so I went and seen him play at St. Mary/St. Vincent when he was still in High School and took my son to see him play as often as we could go. When my son found out he wouldnt be here in Cleveland any longer he actually cried. Sure I would have been upset with him leaving Cleveland to play for another team but I wouldnt hate him like I do right now after watching that bs interview. And yep I went out in my back yard and torched my jersey the night of the interview he wanted to join the heat so I figured his jersey should join the heat as well. Im not sure what the Cavs will do right now but I for one will be rooting them on all the way. even though some players cant seem to stay loyal to the fans the fans here in Cleveland will ALWAYS be loyal to our teams. GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO CAVS

The thing is, until it happened, I didn't think LeBron would leave amidst that kind of circus. I honestly thought it was a build up to an announcement of staying Cleveland.

I'm on record, on this board, as stating he wouldn't go to those lengths if he wasn't staying in Cleveland. Now, I was obviously wrong about him staying, but not about the fallout if he left Cleveland having orchestrated that kind of event to make the announcement.
