Very untrue. James openly criticized Mike Brown toward the end of the playoffs. It is strongly believed that former GM Danny Ferry and Mike Brown were not big fans of LeBron over the past couple of years as his egotism was allowed to run rampant by his crew and Dan Gilbert. This is what is believed to be the main reason for both leaving the team. Gilbert believed by kowtowing to James, he would be able to keep him. He employed many of James' friends at large payrates and even had some of them participate in summer league. This helps to explain his feeling of betrayal. He definitely helped create the monster. There is a great cautionary tale in this story.

But had Wade left he would have had some class and wouldnt have done it the way Bron did. Man I was big on Lebron so much so I went and seen him play at St. Mary/St. Vincent when he was still in High School and took my son to see him play as often as we could go. When my son found out he wouldnt be here in Cleveland any longer he actually cried. Sure I would have been upset with him leaving Cleveland to play for another team but I wouldnt hate him like I do right now after watching that bs interview. And yep I went out in my back yard and torched my jersey the night of the interview he wanted to join the heat so I figured his jersey should join the heat as well. Im not sure what the Cavs will do right now but I for one will be rooting them on all the way. even though some players cant seem to stay loyal to the fans the fans here in Cleveland will ALWAYS be loyal to our teams. GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO CAVSI know the young fans like your boy is who it'll hurt the most
But do you guys really think he could've won there? no one wanted to play in Cleveland
I know i would've given anything to had seen Marino win a championship somewhere else if he had to, toward the end of his career he was offered the starting job in Tampa bay and Minnesota and he retired instead..While loyal YES he never won a superbowl and will haunt him forever
I would'nt want that for James"Time to nut up or shut up"-Tallahassee

Miami fans counting future championships had better remember the 2003/2004 LA Lakers that couldn't get it done with Shaq, Kobe, Karl Malone and Gary Payton. Yeah, Malone was in his final year, and Payton close to the end, but all that talent couldn't buy a title (they lost to the Pistons, a true TEAM ). There just aren't enough balls to go around, and I can't see any of these guys swallowing their ego enough to give up scoring opportunities to a teammate.
Marino was a class guy all the way; I'm sure it bothers him that he didn't win a Super Bowl, but he can look back on his career with no regrets.Comment

The difference between football and basketball is superstars have much more say on the end result of a game in basketball. Marino couldn't play defense or have the ball in his hands at every key moment. Also. LeBron isn't near the end of his career and the Cavs have been one of the best teams in the league the past few years. Let's not forget, they were the favorite (along with LA.) of most experts before the playoffs began. They flamed out against the Celtics. I won't say James quit, but the Cavs were up 2-1 in the series and something changed. Trust me, I've played and watched basketball my whole life and never seen a team led by a superstar fail so badly after taking control of a series. His play and especially his attitude were strange, to say the least.Comment

Heat
I think the most important pickup for the Heat will be this year's first-round draft pick - Da'Sean Butler from West Virginia (my Alma Mater '88) !Comment
