BTW...I did bid $100 on that messed up 1940 Ideal Supes...but it went for $150...so I didn't get it.

Capt. Kirk: "Is there anyone on this ship, who even remotely, looks like Satan?"
Mr. Spock: "I am not aware of anyone who fits that description, Captain"
Capt. Kirk: "No, Mr. Spock, I didn't think you would be"

Have to admit, Ford got a lot of "GO" out of those little 289 and later 302 blocks.

As an aside,as a Ford guy Hector, do you know if the new 302 that just came out would fit the old 289/302 mounts? I assume the new one has the cylinder assemblies at less of an extreme upright angle on the new motor, so it is probably wider, and lower pan to fuel intake, but would it easily swap into an older FoMoCo product?

I also am voting for the red with white.

Whenever I am at car shows and see Mustangs with Eleanor or Bullitt paint schemes or fauxbras, I always notice folks questioning the motive of the owner,......does he simply like it, or is he trying to pass it off on unsuspecting folks as something it's not. While you know your intentions, it can really rile folks who don't. I am speaking from experience here,....a couple years ago, I put a nifty stripe on my 1970 coupe. As ridiculous as it sounds, I overheard people accuse me of trying to fake a Boss or Mach 1.

Man for me the two colors you have listed are both nice. I really love the Shelby white with the blue stripes. I can't wait to see what you come up with post it when your done.

Thebottom line Hector, is what you want and what you see in your head when you close your eyes. I couldn't give two cents what people say or think at car shows, most of them don't know their *** from a hole in the ground.

Take my 69, it has a 70 paint sceam, why because the paint colors were just better in 70
same with the windsor easy to get,but I put a Clevlend in it, which only a handful came out at the very end of 69. I could have easiler went with a windsor, but the clevland just flat puts out more HP and High rpms.

Point is its your money and your ride, you do how you want it.

i like white with royal blue stripes. how much is your painter charging to paint? are they going to sand it down to the metal?

That's why you are my Mustang zan master, Zemo...

The reason pewter with black stripes appeal to me is because of the Raiders...and the reason red and white appeal to me is because of the 49ers.

The thing is that all my life...all my past cars had just the one old boring paint scheme.

Now is the chance to finally go for it...and get stripes...I always wanted stripes on a car...and here's my first real opportunity to get them.

Too bad I cannot take my stripes off and put them on your car! LOL
I have to save up a few thousand more dollars before I can have my car redone without stripes. :(

The colors do not matter nearly as much as the stripes. You MUST have the stripes. You car is a beauty, but put those juicy thick stripes on it and its transcendent!
