Rape ... surgical castration. Sex offenders cannot be cured. Meds only work if you actually take them.

Murder. First offense or one person. Jail time with option of parole. Second offense or more then one body. Death

And yes I did what I did and would take a similar appropriate punishment
Murder shouldn't have a second chance.

If they weren't on store property the guy wasn't at work anymore. It wasn't his job...

Always willing to give someone the benefit of a heat of the moment crime.

Now as far as stealing and assault. Sure start with a finger on the non dominate hand. Next is the hand. If you are actually still commiting crimes with one hand which is pretty hard to do then the other hand comes off.

That person is at the mercy of the society that he preyed upon for charity.

Rediculous to think about but if somehow you are still committing crimes "Unarmed" well then the leg goes next.

Thats alot more merciful the just shooting them in the head for one crime. And more cost efficient then jail time.

Fact is with this system you are not going to have criminals with huge rap sheets constantly harming society.

              Crayons and toothpaste.

Neither is a necessity; snicker away, but I'm serious.

It's sad no matter where you stand. Neither party expected the outcome.

                The dude stole toothpaste.

I have a set of those too, but mine are a bad copy and heavily pixilated.

If you have a nice set, and can make some copies I'd gladly take a bullet for you...

If they were new mattel retro figs i would have strangled him too.
In all seriousness, this is just plain stupid, for all parties involved.

It's not a matter of justifying it. It isn't that I think the guy should have died for stealing crayons and toothpaste. But IMO I can't understand how so many can say the clerk was wrong for doing something. How do you let someone steal something from a place your employed and do nothing.

I'm not saying fight off an armed man but not subduing a man that is caught red handed and then resists 4 people on top of it. I really can't figure it out.

Something to think about, if someone stole your wife's hand bag in Times Square would the first words out of your mouth as he ran away be "Stop that person". I would certainly hope your first expectation would not be for a stranger to help return something that wasn't their own property. I'm guessing anyone against the clerks initial pursuit, would be content to be silent, do nothing physical, and file a police report on it, hoping they find who did it.

Somehow I doubt thats how it would go down for anybody, and if the guy was say not fast, or not large in stature, a good amount of you would pursue him if you believed there was any chance of catching and stopping him.

So you reach the point of catching him and he resists. What now? You never asked to be put in the situation. You certainly had no thought of injuring someone today, much less killing them. But the situation turns tragic. Are you guilty? Or just someone that was thrust into a situation, they didn't want to be in, that became more than initially expected.

If they hadn't stolen the bag in the first place it never would have occurred. So are you guilty, innocent, or busy filing a police report?
It's not a doll it's an action figure.
