Major DC Character To Be Outed As Gay

It's a character they haven't used yet in the New 52 so it's not Shazam. Dick Grayson's a bit of a man ***** so it's not him and he's already been in the 52. Wally West maybe?

Personally, I don't care who it is. It's a non-issue to me. If they make him or her gay and they do it with respect, than good for them. Batwoman is already a successful gay character so why wouldn't whomever they "out" next be successful?

But here's my only complaint why do I need to know what sexual preferences a comic book character has in the first place?? Heroes are about saving the world not who they **** in bed....and why can't Batwoman just be a successful character why does "Gay" have to be the added bonus??? So is Batman the most successful hetero character ever??? sounds pretty silly to me....

When i was a kid....I never thought about Batman banging anybody all i cared is that he got the bad guys and saved the day........not oh when I'm done I'mma tap Catwoman's azz........

^And those are the reasons I'm hearing why this is being done. It'll be the ultimate "up yours" to Fawcett. They weren't happy putting them under or taking Cap away and screwing around with him so much.

If this is true DC just loves ****ing with Cap don't they? Sorry but Cap is one of the greatest wish fulfillment comics for kids...giving him sexuality goes against everything about the character. Little boys identified with Cap because it was a boy saying a magic word to become a superhero .....not and adult theme about his lifestyle choices.

Why not? They have already taken that character and chopped him up and stuffed him through a shredder. Why not make him gay? If DC wanted to make Captain Marvel any different then Superman this would be their golden ticket. (or modern bandwagon to jump on.)
Kill off any hope for any chance of a good writer ever claiming control of Cap and rescue him from the band last six years of crap DC has put him through.
I'm not homophobic or do I hate any gay people. I just think when your getting into sexuality of a character (especially a long running character like Captain Marvel) you really have run out of stuff to do with the guy.

Let's hope it isn't Captain Marvel. I still have my money on Dick, (Dick Grayson, Nightwing) as I said before.

It figures. DC never tires of tinkering with poor Cap. I was hoping it would be a significant but non-hero character, but that's probably too low-profile.

*DING!* Right answer! Although it doesn't forgive the audience: they clone the top guy 'cos they know it'll sell. The downside of things like nostalgia, brand loyalty and rabid fandom is an endless sluice of mediocre entertainment.

....and it applies to ALL kinda of entertainment. It's not a coincidence we've had ten years of "vampires whine about their girlfriends" books, movies and tv shows....
