The IMDB says Nicholson is only 3/4" taller than Keaton

Yeah, they are almost the same height, but Nicholson is thicker...

So then there was no way Keaton was standing on a Box... thanks Hector.

I agree completely but a good Trilogy will be a good 3 movies that got done.

I formulated a plan for this once, I have an idea for a Star Wars type thing, sort of like Lord of the Rings I guess, that I wanted to do 7 of. I was going to sign the cast for options for 7 films in 10yrs or so and finance a play for them in between so they could "act."

I mean, most of these guys are starving, broke, nobodys who want to be rich and famous, or they'd stick to theater, and then they get a job and become rich and famous and get an attitude.

Brent Spiner comes to mind... but I don't know his story with any certainty.

Which brings me to my other observation that Hollywood has caught on and instead of giving these guys plays to do, they give them other films. I think Brosnan had this in place for Bond and Craig seems to as well. I don't know if in the 70s or maybe even 80s actors were prohibited from damaging their franchises but now it seems that James Bond for example can do whatever else he wants. And I think Downey has gotten at least 2 other starring roles since Iron Man.

So I guess they have worked out how to handle it and all the more reason for the actor to learn his words, do his job, cash his check and keep working. Not divas required.

That may be part of the issue too. It may be easy to replace these guys. I'm not sure how replacements were dealt with longer ago. But replacing Rhodie? I know there is another example that bothered me. Rachel Dawes is a better one. I think that was unthinkable years ago. Maybe Decades ago... if I think of the other example that came to mind I'll come back and post it. I had a shocking one in mind but I lost it.

Yes, Great Pix. I have not seen them all either.
Is that Nicholson, Tim Robbins and Michael Keaton in the last one?
Where was that last shot taken?

wow I didnt know their were so much Keaton Haters here. I liked him as Batman he was good and still do ! the only problem I had with film was with Tim Burton directing giving a superhero film to a guy who has never read a comic in his life thats absurd to me

I thought Keaton did a good job. It was nice that it was serious. His Bruce was not someone you would have thought, hmmm, Bruce is never around when Batman is here...

But at the time I also said that the movie should have been titled

                            JACK NICHOLSON
                            STARRING as the Joker

                            guest starring michael keaton
in a small role as Batman

Rumour has it Nolan will use unused footage of Ledger as the Joker in Batman 3, for continuity's sake. Not a prominent part, but still...
