They ARE in the "big leagues"....it's called "The Titans". No need for them to be in JLA (Mon-El either) when the real Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman are available. Or at least they would be if editorial wasn't jerkin' everyone's chain for a year and a half....

How does Donna keep from flopping out of that costume? There are so many other JLAers(Atom, Animal Man, Flash, Green Arrow, Hawkman, Zatanna, Plastic Man) that they can use, but Robinson feels the need to fill the big three spots for some reason. The only interesting bit will be Dick filling in for Bruce.

Dude, that's part of the PROBLEM....not a solution. I guess as long as people keep plunking down the coin, DC will continue in the direction of friggin' up the books.

I'm not sure WHY exactly Mon-El is getting such play in the Superman books this past year. They already did this and it was called VALOR. Is his run as Valor no longer VALID?

Mon-El's greatest claim to fame is that he was in the Phantom Zone for 1000 years until he was released permanently by The Legion in the 30th Century. So one could only hope he'll be heading back into the Zone fairly soon to fulfill the prophesy.

I must admit, I'm enjoying some of the dialogue in this book...it's more like the James Robinson I remember from Starman instead of the crap he's doing over in the Superman titles. Still not sure I care for the mix of heroes he has going on in a "Justice League" book....but I suppose if anyone can make Congorilla a major player it's gotta be Robinson.
Look at what he did with the blue-skinned Starman who had 1 70s appearance.

I was excited about the book when it was announced and haven't been dissappointed. Beautiful to look at and a fun read. Didn't know that Congorilla and the blue skinned Starman could make such a great team. Just goes to show what good writting can do.

As for the Bagley image. This is part of DC, and fans of the DCU, wanting to have things both ways. One of the great draws to the DCU are the legecy characters. I happen to love the sence of family and history that legacy brings. However, there are certain lynch pin characters that, while tweeks and updates to their origins will be made as long as DC is publishing comics, the essence of these characters will never change. So, you end up with this tug of war between creators that want to expand and grow characters and fans that want the security and "comfort" of having recognizable characters that change very little.
                            Hey! Check out the pictures.

After reading #3 .. So far to me this is the very best JLA Book in yrs.
Robinson is Brillant on so many levels. I am enjoying every Minute of this book,.. I look forward to the next issue.

It's almost like there are two Robinson's writing for DC....I was admittedly skeptical of this title at 1st but it reads like I expect a James Robinson penned story to read....lots of layers of DC history in his scripts....

The James Robinson who is writing the Superman titles however is falling short of the mark IMO. I wonder how much that has to do with editorial directive and the idea to remove Superman from the books while screwing around in space.....But even before Supes vacated the titles I wasn't ga-ga over Robinson's interpretation. The only interesting thing he's done with the Superman cast is focus on Jimmy Olsen and returned him to his 70s Kirby era roots when he was known as Mr. Action.....
