No way! You made Nomad? How cool is that!
Been wanting to make him too, what parts did you use to make him?
Thanks. It required a lot of hunting at different hardware stores and a lot of patience until I found just the right pieces that could be modified. Check your local hardware store and look at the plumbing repair kits
Capt. Kirk: "Is there anyone on this ship, who even remotely, looks like Satan?"
Mr. Spock: "I am not aware of anyone who fits that description, Captain"
Capt. Kirk: "No, Mr. Spock, I didn't think you would be"

"Do you believe, you believe in magic?
'Cos I believe, I believe that I do,
Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic
If your mission is magic your love will shine true."
Here is another Lt. DeSalle version we just finished:
Capt. Kirk: "Is there anyone on this ship, who even remotely, looks like Satan?"
Mr. Spock: "I am not aware of anyone who fits that description, Captain"
Capt. Kirk: "No, Mr. Spock, I didn't think you would be"
I proudly present... an electronic light-up custom Mego Star Trek large size action figure toy of "Yarnek":
Carded toy features a "try me" button on the blister bubble which when pressed will light his red eyes up just like what was seen in the TOS episode "The Savage Curtain":
Yarnek measures a little over 9" tall by about 7" wide which includes his tail that sticks out off to his left side.
This one was truly a labor of love and one that I have been wanting to do for some time now.
I have been planning and working on him on and off for a few weeks and once Anthony's card arrived it quickly motivated me to finish him and get the lights installed in his head.
Card back:
Eyes off:
Eyes lit up:
This one certainly is one of those that looks even better in person... and is a lot of fun
Capt. Kirk: "Is there anyone on this ship, who even remotely, looks like Satan?"
Mr. Spock: "I am not aware of anyone who fits that description, Captain"
Capt. Kirk: "No, Mr. Spock, I didn't think you would be"
I'm making my Melkotian, and I'm considering putting lights in his head also.
What's bugging me: if I want to card him, how do I light him up, and what if the battery goes?
Hmmmm....
Btw: GREAT Nomad!!!!!

As much as I life your wife's sewing, I must admit, Nomad and Yarnek are awfully cool... and not something I ever expected to see Mego customs for.
Oh, and you should take more pics of your figures before you card them. As much as I love seeing the packaged figure, it's nice to see all your hard work without a bubble getting in the way.

Thanks, Nomad is pretty cool
As for the battery issue, depending on where the battery is located you can either have an open hole (door) in the back of the card to make it accessible to get to and change the battery without removing it (I see quite a few electronic toys that have this) or in the case of my Yarnek where the battery is actually in a small box on the wires you can leave the bubble unsealed at the bottom so the loose wires and the battery box can be pulled out through the bottom of the blister bubble enough to get to and change the battery.

I usually take a few pictures of them as stand alone figures before I card them up so any figures anyone wants to see off the card just let me know and I can see about posting a few pics up of them.
