I'd lkke them to incorperate the Neptunian hands and feet covers since those are beleived to be part of an abandoned Mego Creature figure.
And yes, while I want the figure to look cool, it would spoil it a bit for me if it were to look too modern and advanced.

All four so far have been just great. I agree with ya in that if The Creature from the Black Lagoon is indeed in wave three, EMCE/Diamond will not disappoint. I remember about a year ago in one of the threads here, it was said that the Creature was on their radar, and they wanted to do it right. I'm sure they will when it comes out. I love the idea of a suit with vinyl pieces sewn in, sculpted hands & feet & a rotocast head. I want it to have the same high quality as the latest four, while maintaining some Mego-esque vibe just like wave 1 & 2. I just wish somebody give us the official word, so I can celebrate!Leave a comment:

I still prefer it to look as close to the AHI Creature as possible with the sculpted body and not a screen printed suit. If they have to go with a suit though I think Mike's custom is really nice and a better idea than a screen printed body suit. Whatever EMCE does though they have always done real high quality detailed work and as much as we're all wanting a Creature I don't think they will disappoint us with a cheap looking figure that is inferior to the rest of the line.Leave a comment:

I like the silk screen suit with the sewn in vinyl fins. Molded hands are great but they would need to be added after the suit was on to keep the wrist cuffs tight to the body. That would make removing the suit difficult for those not familiar with Mego figures. No big deal to us but may be down the road for some buyers. I think I might like the feet to be boot like. Kinda like the Neptunian but the height of the Cowardly lion shoes. I think soft like the lion shoes rather than hard like the Neptunian boots would be better.Leave a comment:

I've been asked to do the sculpts for this figure-- I think what Joe and Doc have in mind with how they want to approach it, is very, very cool. Hopefully they will be moving forward soon--

like that a lot! There's been some discussion in other threads of what a possibly upcoming EMCE Creech "should" look like. I thought I'd start this as an ongoing discussion that EMCE might use as a resource. (I'm rooting for Phantom & Gillman in Wave 3.)
My personal bias is to keep any proposed figure Megoesgue; I don't advocate a molded AHI-type figure. I suggest a Mego Knights-style approach:
1. Sculpted head, hands, & feet
2. A knit, printed bodysuit w/ sewn-in vinyl fins at the forearms & calves.
3. A plastic front-and-back "armor" that includes the belly scales & dorsal fins.
Just my opinion. I remember as a kid trying to alter an Aurora kit to fit over a Mego and that's the basis for my idea.
What other versions might "work"?Leave a comment:

I love mego, I really do, but i dont want to see a Creature figure made in 2012 that looks like it was made to 1974 standards. None of the other EMCE monsters remind me of anything close to circa 1974, they are much better than that.Leave a comment:

whoever it was here that was doing creature suits lately already has a good prototype worked out and it would be great to see it used as the basis for the EMCE Creech if one gets made.Leave a comment:

Thanks! I wouldn't be against a screened suit at all, but I think a bit of extra detail would add collector appeal & still keep it "retro."Leave a comment:

My own preferences for re-Mego figures is to go as low-fi as possible. So for me a completely screen-printed suit would be perfect, with molded hands and feet of course. But your ideas are better.
