Just using AHI as an example, retailed for a couple of $$, sells today for $500-$1000 loose, sometimes more. It also won the monster contest on this very site! Although the Mike Oz custom Creature is this best made to date, the production version of this character needs to be all plastic.
Fabric does not eqaul flesh. All the monsters done so far are upgrades, quite realistic too.
Please, spend the extra money and do this figure right.
Creech was in the fight, but I'm pretty sure AHI Frankie won the battle.

Still think that the Mikeoz custom proves that a cloth costume can work, that one looks like it would fit in perfect with the line and should be the prototype.

    I'm with toth and muele

cloth is good with me. The custom that was floating around earlier this year was sublime and it was cloth all the way.

If'n I was to go totally mego on this, I would like to see the Nep gloves and boots used with a cloth suit and a great sculpt. But a nice sculpted set of paws for the creech would work just fine.

Whatever it is will look cool. The EMCE/DST Monsters are pretty sweet so far.
Nope, I'd like a cloth suit as well. Without one it won't be Megolike. I love all monsters, AHIs also, but the AHI Creature isn't true to the Megofeel in my eyes

I realize these figures are made with what Mego would have done in mind and that's part of the reason I love them so much but even AHI was smart enough not to use a cloth suit on thier Creature and it is one of my top favorite vintage figures of all time.

You could strike a balance with sculpted torso detail and a suit. Just make a chest plate/back plate like the Knights have. Mold it in green and have a fair amount of detail on it. Not hyper-detail. If the suit is done correctly it won't stand out so much. The trick would be matching the color of plastic to the color of a fabric suit. It worked for the Knights-it could be done for the creature.

I think a really good idea would be to bring back the T1 torso/chest with some upgrade to it for the creature. The character is fish-like and should be thinner compared to regular Megos. A chest plate/back plate would not bulge out so much as it would on a T2 chest. I don't think that will happen tho because I know its $$$ to modify and and tool the old T1 torso.

For some reason, Sandy, you doing the sculpts for this particular character just makes sense. Like it's meant to be.

My vote too for sculpted hands, feet, cloth costume and sewn on vinyl accessories (Fins).

lots of good ideas here, Mike Oz's kit is perfect and I would be floored if that was the final product. I have faith in the EMCE team and with Sandy pitching in on the sculpting I have no doubt that this is gonna be a good figure, can't wait to see it!
