I will say, that while I am not dying to throw money away, we have got to keep in mind that obviously Mattel is loosing their arse at $5.00. If they loose money, we loose the opportunity at another series. Don't get me wrong. Buy a set when they hit shelves. Buy em all when they clearance, because you know someone here will need em anyway. If they don't stay on the shelves Mattel makes more. It's simple supply and demand.

Possibly the best analogy ever. Not sure if it's technically an analogy, bit is dayum funny.

Possibly the best quote ever. This thread made me laugh a lot.

With Mattel involved,I just can't stay positive. I learn the hard way with them with the 2002 MOTU line. I really hope that I'm proved wrong but with how they've handle their other lines since then I can't.

I have really kept my hopes high for the continuation of the line but I think if we don't hear something by Toyfair 2012 it would be safe to assume that Mattel will not go forward with Retro Action no matter how well Kyle sold or no matter that Superman, Batman and Martian Manhunter ( characters that most of us already had ) sold out. If that's gonna be the case it's really an insult to our intelligence and such a shame. Until then I will keep my hopes high and think positive.

I don't know if anyone at Mattel knows what will happen with this line!
Big companies are made up of many groups, with different priorities
    all competing for budget money.

    wow

glad to know they sold so fast. Count me a in with the folks that think there is an online audience for these. I would love to see them at brick and mortar, especially in the big box stores, but if this is the way to continue the line I am happy to support it at Matty.

That's great news. Who knows maybe the DC retro figures just have to find their target marketplace like a DC collector specific website? In any event, I'm glad to see them selling.

I wonder how many Supes and Bats they had. I have a feeling there were only a handful.

If they did an RA Catwoman, I'd want the blue, pirate boots one, the purple dress and green cape one AND the purple one with the long hair from the 90's. Too hard to pick just one. The end of this line is such a shame. Seriously. So much potential. These figures look awesome displayed all together.

I don't think Batman needs a movie tie-in to be a huge seller.

I hope that, with selling out so quickly, someone from Mattel takes notice. There is definitely a market for these as a smaller collector run. But I'm not counting on that happening.
