More comments and suggestions than questions. Some already made but I'll recap.

    1. While the look of the body doesn't thrill me, the new ones are a great deal improved over the original floppy design. Thanks for listening.

    2. As mentioned, with the success of past lines like He-man and Ghostbusters, Big Jim makes more sense than ever. Even if it's a figure available through Matty.com and the monthly offering is suits in the retro Big Jim style packaging. I find it hard to believe the P.A.C.K. figures would not be a huge success too. Jim, The Whip, Dr. Steel, Warpath, Torpedo Fist, and Zorak would be hard to pass up. Even more so with CAW chumming the water with Capt. Action another retro figure line. Simply use the RA body and shrink the scale. It already has the distinct look of the original body only shorter. Bring in new characters like you did with He-Man. Maybe some cartoon support like you did with the Battle Force 5 Hot Wheels line would generate some new blood to the area.

    3. Keep the GL line going. Kilowog in the Darkseid style suit would still be better than none. IMO. Tomar Re would be cool too. Ride the movie wave and be proactive rather than reactive, (Retro-active?)

    4. Not knowing whether the supply issue is from the supplier side or the seller side it's tough to comment. More retail outlets are needed either way. Even short supply is better than no supply. At this point even available from Matty.com would probably be better than not at all. It's worked for He-Man.

The fact that stores like AJ Wright sold out of the RA line at a lower price should not be ignored. If you cut the price 30% and sell 3 times the number of figures you're still ahead of where you would be. A lower price point might be attractive to retailers in a difficult economy. Plus you keep collectors able to pursue the line for a longer period. More purchasing sources and a better price keep them on the hook longer. You also take market share from your competition. If they're buying your stuff they probably aren't buying the other guys figures. Plus they're more likely to purchase online exclusives which we all know are a better profit point for you with no middle man. Die hard collector's don't want a partial collection.

    5. Use the female body and do a year of female releases crossing all the lines if necessary. Janine and Gozer from Ghostbusters, Super Girl, Mary Marvel, Power Girl, Black Canary, Zatanna, etc. from DC.

    6. Clunky boots. As a major toy producer this has to be a solvable problem. Even Guy, who has huge boots, seems to have bigger than expected boots. It's probably the only thing I can complain about at this point. Everything else looks good.

It's not a doll it's an action figure.

I really love the boots, especially Wonder Woman and Cheetah's boots.

Since they made it in the JLU and DCU Classics lines, I'd say no.

If Toys R Us has an exclusive right to sell them, why on earth are they not stocking them in large areas of the country? This seems like a huge issue.

                Distribution

My town is a very busy shopping area, with 2 malls, and all kinds of shopping, but our Toys R' Us stopped carrying Retro Action figures after wave 2.
There are only Luthors and Sinestros there.
I had to get my last 2 figures through Amazon.com.

Any thoughts on expanding distribution to Target or Walmart, so that more people can buy them in an actual store?

It is and from what I've found from going to the Manager's of the store, It's TRU deciding not to carry them. I wonder why would Mattel continue to keep them exclusive to TRU when it seems most stores are not carrying them anymore.

Does TRU even have them available online at their site?

I'd love a retro Big Jim's P.A.C.K., as mentioned in a previous post!

I truly love this line. The quality of the outfits and sculpts are worth the money to me. Although the bodies have been improved to this point, they still can't sit in a seated position or hold their legs out. I do not understand why that hasn't been addressed, will it?
Also the retail availability or unavailability. I would be interested to hear what the story is with that.

That's my biggest question as well. If TRU isn't going to stock them...then why not go to other chains like Target & Walmart?

And 2nd...the slump may be fixed, but the Legs are just as loose as they ever were...are they planning to fix this?

I agree at there should be some sort of question about the legs on the figures.

QUESTION: Since Mattel has been keen to zero in on the collector market; Any chance we will see a FAN VOTE for an upcomint Matty Exclusive? Maybe we can select from 10 characters or something.

are there plans for more body styles?

Darkseid does not bode well for larger figures, but is a child/teen body being developed for younger characters?
