Went to Hamilton today. They had them all. I got the last Martian. I think he's easily the most Mego Like of the bunch. Very well done!

Went across the street to grab movie tickets for Thor in 3-D late show for my and my buds. Very glad I opted to walk the extra 50 paces to check out TRU (even though I had been there three times this week already).

They had Shazam, Black Adam, Manhunter and Darkseid (no supes or bats). For those complaining about the price, the best part is they are $18.37 this weekend, so run out and get yours.

I picked up all four and an extra Shazam so I'll have the suit for Brick to wear in about a month's time.

Just about to post that, took the kids to TRU for no good reason tonight and was amazed at the size of the section and the price.

Stopped by the Dufferin Mall just now. Sale is still on but no Retros. If they were there, they blew out of them by this weekend.

My *doh* moment was realizing that my local comic shop actually stocked them, and it looks like they were only $17.50. I picked up the Superman they had left to grab the suit for my Christopher Reeve custom. They said they were having a hard time with Diamond getting them restocked.

That is because I asked Mattel to keep the big sellers in the assortments
of lesser characters so that when Joker or Penguin hit the stores, kids
could find a Batman at the same time. I didn't realize that these would
sell out so fast that the kids will be lucky to find any of them.
Is that the same sort of ratio they used for wave 3? Because of it Flash is a peg warmer.

Stopped by Sherway Gardens TRU off of the Gardiner/QEW/427 this morning on the way back from a client meeting. Three pegs of Darkseid, Shazam and Black Adam, no Manhunters.

I think Flash was thought to be a bigger draw than Wonder Woman,

Take a moment to think about that sentence!

Before going to see Thor on the big screen, he walked into Toys R Us
to buy four brand new megos made by Mattel!

I am so afraid that I am going to wake up and find that this was all
                    a dream.

I'd love to see Wave 2...let alone Wave 4. Distribution here on Long Island just plain old SUCKS. I've basically given up on the line...Not trying to knock it, but the truth is I can't see trying to catch up when I'm 3 waves behind. Mattel has really got to do a better job getting these figures into the stores.

I don't get why folks get so mad about not being able to find these in stores. I mean, sure it would be nice, but they've been on sale ONLINE since the waves began. I mean, not wanting to buy them online just for the thrill of finding them in your local TRU is, in my opinion, like cutting off your nose to spite your face. If you're behind on the waves, don't blame the toy stores.

Not mad at not finding them at the stores at all. Trust me, I've supported Doc since day 1. I still have cases of the Trek that I got through my comic store...but my comic store can't even get the figures. If you don't buy in big quantities, which he doesn't, you pay more than what they go for at Toys R Us. I don't really want to pay $25 per figure or more at a comic store. As for buying them on line...I don't want all 4 figures in Wave 2-4...and that's the only way you can get a halfway decent price on these figures. Go back and read any comments I have written about the Retro figures and you will see that they are nothing but positive. Haven't bashed them once. I've known Doc for more than 10 years and he knows I support anything he does...but Mattel IS dropping the ball at getting these figures into the stores. That's the last I'm going to say on the subject...anymore is just overkill, and that's what I get on some other posters here on the subject of the Retro figures.

Blue Meanie, I never said you were against the Doc. I know everyone here knows what a great guy he is and all he's done to bring Megos back. I was just making a point about buying online vs. not finding them in stores, that's all. My apologies if you took it that way.

You're cool by me HardyGirl ... but if you can't get the idea that
postage charges and not being able to pick out carefully
the figures you want WHEN you want is horrid stuff...
then I don't get it, myself.

"Mad"? Call it what you will. The poor distribution is certainly an annoynace.
