Wave Four hits Canadian TRU

Just saw them folks, my TRU had two darkseids, one MM, one Black Adam and two Shazams!



I swore I wasn't going to buy Martian Manhunter but here he is on my desk.

Batman and Superman were there as well. I wonder what happened to the wave two that had been there last week?

Wooo! I'll have to check out Brantfords TRU, then Hamilton! It's funny, we got Wave 2, but not 3, now we get 4. Every other isn't too bad.

I saw Wave 4 Black Adams and Darkseids in NYC last week at Midtown Comics...they had TONS of them.....

So it appears that Canadian Toys R Us is hopscotching every other wave?

Thus far we had Wave 2 with Superman from wave 1, and then skipped 3 and went straight to Wave 4? Thus far the Retro's seem to be disappearing pretty quickly from most of the ones in and around the city.

Checked the TRU at Lawrence and Victoria Park this week, no signs of retro there.

Sorry to hear that. Sounds like to me that either TRU distribution is pathetic or there is someone on the inside buying them all up and scalping them before they even hit the shelves.

I work at Toys as a department head and I recently saw them just come in also. $22.99 each . A little pricey.

The wave 4 case assortment is 3 Shazams, 1 Black Adam, 1 Martian, 1
Darkseid, 1 Batman, and 1 Superman.

That is because I asked Mattel to keep the big sellers in the assortments
of lesser characters so that when Joker or Penguin hit the stores, kids
could find a Batman at the same time. I didn't realize that these would
sell out so fast that the kids will be lucky to find any of them.

Cheaper than what most comic stores are charging for them... closer to $28 - $30 mostly, and the cheapest I've seen being $25.
