I think it's been pointed out that Matty's bread and butter is Barbie and Hot Wheels.

As for DC product, I don't blame Mattel at all for placing the emphasis on Brave and Bold, Green Lantern and the upcoming Young Justice line at retail on their shelf space over a niche product aimed at the nostalgia/collector's market.

At this point we really can't turn back the hands of time, and what we are getting is really a tremendous gift from the universe and and incredible confluence of circumstances which has brought this about.

Just think of how much we pay for customs and vintage stuff. A shipping charge on top doesn't seem so bad.

Thank goodness for Matty and Diamond or us Megoheads up here would have been deprived of Lex, Green Lantern, Sinestro, and Wave 3.

I just wish we could have gotten the Ghostbusters in the Great White North..

I know it's not what most folks around here want to see, but I think a good way to ratchet up the Mego format would be Young Justice Megos following their animated look. THAT's where the kids are in all of this.

I have to agree. You have to go with what the kids want too. Although, I'd be very interested in Young Justice mego's too!

At the risk of sounding old....it is nice when you see a kid in the toy aisle...and he is looking for that "right" toy. I witnessed the "Bobby you have $20 to spend on a toy" scenario. IT WAS AWESOME!!! Boy he tried to work her for another $2.29 over.....he almost lost all of it by pushing too hard....but he pulled back at the right moment. It was beautiful...I remember the Megos on the pegs when I was a kid at Lionel Playworld.....good times.

Just to throw my $0.02 in:

                1) I'm glad that they released these figures at all. Since there are finally Mego-like figures of Lex Luthor, Flash and Green Lantern, I would have bought all three of those, even if I didn't like them, just on principal.

                2) I don't want to order them online because of the additional cost and also because I don't want a figure that looks hunched over in the package (I leave my carded). Even though I understand and respect the reasons behind the $20 price, it's a bit high for me personally, so paying an additional $5 to $10 per figure online excedes what I'm willing to pay. I'm not saying they should cost less, I'm just saying that it's tough for me to spend that much. I actually did buy wave 2 online - right here from LOU who totally hooked me up by charging an awesome price AND making sure that the figures he sent were ones that looked nice in the package. If anyone could do that for me on waves 3 and 4, I'd be all over that!

Man, that is awesome! I remember those days. After about two minutes, Dad would get tired of waiting for me to pick just one figure and let me get two, but mom would bring a book to read and hold out "No. Just one."

I rarely see kids in toy stores anymore.

I actually saw that and something similar a few days later....but I am in outside sales....so I can stop in the stores at wierd hours during the days...you see some stay at home Moms with the kids going through TRU. Unfortunately they are getting transformers or pokemon type stuff....super heroes just aint cool any more I guess.

I had a ton of those "debates" with my parents at the toystore...and I would say most of them preceeded MEGO purchases!

One leg longer than the other

Is that figure carded or loose? I assume he's carded, otherwise I
would say check the boots against the light. The foot is probably
                    not all the way in.

Loose, and I took it apart to see what the deal was. His leg is stretched at the knee joint. Mattel has a lot of QC issues especially on its action figures. Sure wish someone would answer the question I had about TRU. Is there any confirmation that the line is dead there? Judging by the non-movement of Ghost Busters I'd say that its DOA.

Given the fact that wave 4 is showing up at TRU all over the place here in the past week or so, I'd say it's safe to assume that it's not "dead".

Can't speak for Ghostbusters since I've never seen them at a TRU here. Although if you guys still have wave 3, then maybe a cultural exchange program is in order vis a vis getting us some of that Wonder Woman action in the Great White North. I need that head for my Vampirella and Spider-Woman customs, and I only found a single one at a comic shop thus far.

I refuse to respond to questions about the line being dead.

One problem is that all the TRU in my area are telling me they are no longer carrying the figures in their store and I've checked all of them in my area and even had them look it up to be sure and they did.

Here are all the TRU's in my are: Franklin MA., Brockton MA., Fall River MA., Swansea MA., Plymouth MA. and Attleboro MA. and I've gone to all of them and got the same repsonse when I finally got someone to look them up who knew(or seemed to) what they were talking about.

Franklin MA. did get wave 3 as I found one flash there once but since told me they are no longer carrying the line.?

Are all these employees wrong from all these stores? I'm asking as I find this
stinks and really hope they'd still be ordering them in my area as they seem to be selling good. only Brockton MA. still has some sinestro and luthor's left and Fall River MA. has one luthor left besides that they seemed to sell them all.

I went out again this week to get waves 3 and 4 since i am missing all figs from both waves, and finally had a bit of streatchable scratch. and I found NOTHING! Long Island has been dry every time I have gone looking. I also like getting my figs in person (after getting figures that are missing accessories or broken from matty). I was going to go to Amok, but they were out of wave 4...so is Entertainment Earth.. It's kind of pathetic when getting an exclusive takes less effort than getting the in stores line! If the figs weren't so awesome, i would have just given up.
