Now there's no excuse for Mattel not to produce a Black Lightning figure! Even though the mask on John Stewart GL is not fully extended over his forehead like BL's mask, I think it would work in an old school way like Mego might have done it. Come on Mattel, give us a Black Lightning!

That is an all new head, just for the record.

Why do they make what some of us consider lesser known figures into Action Figures...

sorry...don't know how to delete this...posted in wrong area.

I did this after seeing one that Doc did. I guess the Corp is just a bunch of guys wearing the same suit. I still want more though. Even Kyle. Yeah I said it, even Kyle.

It's not a doll it's an action figure.

Love it! Dead on for the Adams era Stewart - even with the original green domino mask. I'm buying a minimum of a dozen.
An old Irish Blessing - "May those who love us, love us; and if they do not love us, may God turn their hearts; and if He does not turn their hearts, may He turn their ankles, that we may know them by their limping"

I like the figure just fine. What I don't like is the Matty Collector site and all the bs with shipping and trying to order merchandise through them.

Matty is more of a hassle for MOTU fans. That's what crashes the site. If you try and get a non-MOTU figure on the first day of the sale, my experience is you can usually get through, eventually.

But it is ridiculous that they haven't fixed this problem yet.

I find if you ordered things like the Green Arrow (both times) or the Chris Reeve Superman within the first week or so, you were fine.

I can't remember how long it took for the Peter Venkman SDCC exclusive to sell out, but I do remember getting it within 24 hours of the sale beginning and not sitting by my computer waiting for the sell time.

As Earth 2 Chris says, it's mostly the MOTU stuff that is the hassle.

Also note we live in a day and age where Broccili Lantern and Fish Lantern have their own action figures. No one should feel deprived of their favourite incarnation given the amount of Green Lantern merchandise and likely variants that are heading our way this year.

Although MattyCollector might want to give Alan Scott some love... SDCC exclusive?

I never had an issue with him, but early on a lot of GL fans wanted him gone. he never had a big following. That has changed in recent storylines. The resurge in the GL title may have had a hand in that as well. New fans new opinions.

I have the 12 inch Hasbro version of his figure and love it. I wish they would have made it 8 inch though.

Actually I wanted to do John Stewart in his more recent JLU outfit, but
Mattel said that Retro Action was the only place they could do the
'70s afro hair style and not have it look out of place.

I think the afro hairstyle looked out of place in the 70's.
