He is cool but honestly if it's a Matty Collector fig I will probably not bother unless they get their website ordering worked out.
I don't know what it is but something about Mattel has got a bad taste in my mouth right now whereas I should simply be thankful that they are producing the Re-Mego's. I must go look for the proverbial "chill pill". Anybody have any extra?Comment

I'll take one of those chill pills Jim if you have extra!!This is not a custom???!! WHY a Jon Stewart GL?? Why? Why? Why? Absolutely terrible character selection and a poor excuse to recylcle the existing GL outfit, which isn't what Stewart's GL wore anyway is it? There's just too many DC Universe characters that need to be made before they start peddling these secondary rehash characters like this. I thought this was a custom, not an official sneak peek at an actual Retro figure. I mean why not Black Lightning instead?
EPIC FAIL in my opinion based upon the greatness we've seen so far with this line. I'll likely ignore/skip this one all together.Last edited by LOU; Jan 18, '11, 9:57 AM.Comment

I really like this guy. I can't wait to get my hands on a couple so I can put one in his Black Lightning costume:-)Comment

The mini fro makes the difference between me wanting this figure and not. And I will also probably pick up an extra one for a custom. And the uniform won't even go to waste because I'll find someone to wear it.Hey! Where's the waiter with the water for my daughter?
Check out my customs!

Stewart wore that suit in his first appearance in GL/GA No. 87, I believe, and when he took over the title around issue 183 in the mid 1980s.
Not sure when John's costume first varied from the original, probably in the GL Mosaic series or possibly in Cosmic Odyssey mini series.
But, I get your point. This is not the version of John Stewart that most know from the JLU TV show.
I like the retro versions, but It might have been a wiser move for Mattel to go with more current versions of the character.Comment
