I would say based on most of the peeps responses here at the MM on other what if items that it would really depend on the price point. The price would make it or break it for a lot of collectors.

My guess is that Mattel WILL eventually make atleast the Batmobile for the retro figures if not the Ghostbusters Echo 1 as well. I could see both of those vehicles selling well. Providing of course that they look pretty good and have a reasonable price attached to them.

I got it! They sell the Batmobile with Robin! That's why we haven't heard about him yet.

I think they need to short pack the bad guys if they want the line to be a huge hit. The heroes are moving and selling big time. The foes are not. I have to admit I thought Lex Luthor would be a much bigger hit then he has been. I mean when you think of DC Comics history and the popularity of the bad guys Joker,Penguin,Riddler,Catwoman and Lex Luthor are easily the biggest guns and most famous world wide. I think there have been way too many minor bad guys realeased and not enough well known Bat foes. Joker,Penguin,Riddler and Catwoman have never been peg warmers. They are instant cash cows. These four need and deserve to be released.

I would agree. Those would indeed be great sellers. I think Mattel realizes that and figures what the heck. They know these will sell so there is no real hurry to bring them to market.

I have been buying from Mattel for several years and I know how they like to play games with collectors. There is a possibility that they could be saving the best for last if you will? Only time will tell. Of course though anything is possible when playing the Ma"shell" game.

How about the Bat Mobile Crime Lab? Or a better Batcopter than the "clog"? Or even "Storm" for Aquaman. I know he's technically not a vehicle, but he was Aquaman's ride!

I would really like to see The Great White shark, but I am sure that would be a far stretch.

I don't know if Mattel is playing with collector's as the main market is the kids and parents of the kids not collectors so at times they may not be doing what we collector's want but what they think the kids and or parents of the kids will buy. Of course I'd guess the retro line might be the exception to that rule but still I'm not sure if mattel is planning on the retro figures that may appeal to the kids and parents of them even with this line.

I think they had those in the 70s Filmation series too!

I'd buy Wonder Woman's Invisible Jet...but I'm afraid that once I get it Home, and take it out of the Box...I'll never be able to find it again.

BINGO! Mattel said EXACTLY what I have been thinking - "RETAILER SUPPORT." I don't see any expansion of this line unless other outlets like Walmart and Target pick these up. They have to lower the cost of those figures to justify putting out vehicles and play sets. I mean come on. If a figure is $20.00, what would the vehicle be? $50.00? Not practical for pricing. Lets hope other retailers pick this line up so it can really take off.

                              >I'm sure Matty could put out a similar quality or slightly less paint op/detailed vehicle for $30 without breaking much sweat.

I'm wondering about the volume though. I'd bet the Bratz figures sold ten times as well as the retro heroes; plus they had a long time to build brand loyalty.... An affordable Batmobile is probably a few years away yet.

Historically you sell fewer vehicles/playsets than figures so in order to justify the
expense of making a vehicle, you wait until there are many figures in the market.
