I just thought I would chime in here real quick. First and foremost, Thank you Doc and Mattel. I love Mego's and I love Green Lantern(s)! This sub-line is a dream come true. I wish they all weren't Mattycollector exclusives, but you gotta roll with what ya got.
I am not sure why there is so much anger over this line. I did not read over the entire 11 pages here so if these point have been mentioned just consider this my seconding of them. I did see it mentioned that the younger kids of the day right now, unless they read comic books, don't know who Hal Jordan is. This is true. Yet, thankfully, Hal was released first. So no harm no foul. Right? As far as what you want the "Retro-Action" line to be, I have to say it is what it is, and it is the answer to the question "What if 'Mego Corp' was around today and they were still making action figures?" the fact is they would make figures of today's comic book heroes. If you walk into a comic book store (few and far between these days, trust me, I know) you would find all of these Lanterns (Stewart, Gardner, Rayner) in great demand. The fact is I know several Green Lantern fans that first heard of the retro action line through this announcement. They are now buying up Retro Action Waves 1, 2, and 3 in preparation for his drop. I am sure my friends aren't the only ones doing it either. So you cross the line over and people (some people) jump in both ponds. I see the same thing happening with the Real Ghostbusters line. The way I see it is the more the merrier, if more people are buying then more product is made. That is my hope any how.
