Eh **** it I have a black wig that i bought from Laurie and I'll turn her into She Hulk -
I'm pretty happy to see Pike and Vina at last, since "The Menagerie" is my favorite Trek episode of all time!Leave a comment:

The face was the Invisible Girl with a few tweaks to make her look more like
Susan Oliver (without looking like Susan Oliver) and the hair rooting was done
in the wrong color and at the last minute by one of our friends here.
He also did Chapel which came out a lot better. I take full responsibility
for the end result since I was too wrapped up in Mattel product to give
him enough time to play around with it.

coincidental - the Salt Vampire and Chapel are usually on the short list,
along with Yeoman Rand. Since Rand is a caucasian Uhura, I thought
that it would cool to do Chapel's blue med uniform.
As for Pike and Vina, you can buy multiples of Pike to make the full cast
of the Cage or Where No Man.... - and damn it - we need a green chick
for Kirk. The Wicked Witch is just not a suitable partner for the
intergalactic space stud.Leave a comment:

A question for the good Doc,it seems that the figures are released starting from the earliest episodes(Pike/vina=Talos pilot) and Salt Creature/Nurse Chapel=Man trap first episode aired)then it would be "Where no man has gone before" after that and son on...
Is-it the case or coincidental??!!Leave a comment:

As long as James is still doing the sculpts, I hope someday his Commodore Decker get's an official release.Leave a comment:

Doc, any chances for a "Where No Man Has Gone Before" Kirk since we could use the shirt from Pike? It would also be nice if ya'll could do a classic phaser-rifle in that retro blue plastic, like the phasers and communicators!Leave a comment:

When rooted hair is done right there is nothing better. Long rubber hair on a rotocast head will look stupid and totally not retro. It's not "Mego" without the rooted hair.
The problem with Vina is not that she has rooted hair. The problem is it's done all wrong. It's way too short and way too messy. The prototype looks like the wicked witch of the west with a bad hair cut. The face sculpt needs to be cuter and the hair needs to be longer and better styled.Leave a comment:

I'm hoping for series accurate Romulans and Klingons. Throw in a new Andorian and Tellarite in costumes from the series. Away team Pike and Vina, Number One and Colt, Wheel Chair Pike and deformed Vina. I'm all for more Star Trek TOS, but I hope TNG and the rest of the Trek Legacy will get their turn in time too! In Mego format would be a good way to finally get " The Great Bird of the Galaxy"....Gene Rodenberry in a commemorative set too!Leave a comment:

Nurse Chapel, after Sulu&Chekov was a must(I hope the next wave will have Yeoman Rand)
Pike&Vina(from the Talos episode pilot)then the Salt Creature from the first episode aired.Will-they go on in that order???!!!Leave a comment:

I like the Chapel a lot.
The sculpt is really nice.
I suspect when she's wearing the clear headband in the package she will look a lot better to the masses.Leave a comment:
