The Aquaman Sculpt would make a great Steve Rogers/Capt. America head.

I think I'm going to be looking for one. Just my opinion.
I can't agree with Hobub, with today's technology why can Mattel or Hasbro made a descend looking figure. Hot Toys, Medicom, and sideshows are making great looking figures. I guess we have to get use to the 1990's with the crappy Toy biz junk. My son at 10 years old made a Batman that looked a 100 times better then the Mattel crap. We should all complain to Mattel and say don't insult us with this junk. Batman is a great Icon with the last 2 movies he deserves a better looking figure. Thank you Hot Toys for making the best figures on earth

^^^Because these aren't meant to be Hot Toys or DCDirect figures. They are meant to be "retro" figures looking like something that came out in the 1970's. If you want something more detailed or whatever go buy a more detailed one.

Yep, I AGREE with Hobub and Thunderbolt. If you want more detailed statue action figures, there are plenty out there. These Retro Action figures are perfect and I have no doubt most will be singing a different tune when they see the actual Batman and the rest of the line!

I was thinking exactly the same thing!!!

Couldn't be more excited about Aquaman & Manta. Hoping Batman when released is more polished & with a better cowl.

Agreed! I'm tired as hell of some of the "oversculpted" figures on the market today. Keep 'em 70's and keep 'em Mego-like. Mattel already makes super-sculpted Super Hero figures anyway.

Once I saw the first two waves together, I got the vibe they were looking for in this line.

The problem with Hot Toys or DC Direct is...they're not 8" scale. And that's what most people on this Forum collect. After all...it is called the Mego Museum, not the Hot Toys Museum.

Personally...I have no interest in anything but Mego scale Figures.

I have to take the almost opposite argument of PeterRR, While I do dig the retro design (especially the packaging) I almost think they look "too good" I would like to see Batman with oven mitt gloves, and the boots with the mold lines. Don't get me wrong I like a good sculpt as much as the next guy (I also collect Universe Classics and a few of the DC Direct 13" for these purposes) but when it comes to the retro I like mine as close to the old school as possible, warts and all. I guess there's just no pleasing some people, though I'll probably pick up a few more in pick and choose style.
