Gotta say it again, the more I see the Aquaman figure the more I like it. Never been a fan of "he who talks to fishes" but I really like this rendition of the character. I'm thinking an actual full scale 1/9 version of the Super Powers Batmobile would be awesome as well as a re-released Hall of Justice and Legion of Doom HQ.

The pre-production figures are always what is used - mattycollector is still
using the prototype Green Arrow shots, even after they got actual carded
figures in stock.

It's the nature of a website. Once you have an image uploaded, you
rarely change it.

Has it been clarified what the deal with the Batman is? Will he have a removable cowl? Or are there going to be two versions, one with and one w/o a removable cowl?

It was always going to be a removable cowl; the prototype cowl wasn't ready to show at toyfair so they showed two figures to illustrate the concept instead.

I'm still holding out for Wonder Woman...but I just get so excited seeing these grouped together and picturing them in the toy store all displayed like that and seeing some little kid go "OOOOH! Coool! Just like in the comics! Mommy, Daddy, can I get one (or four)?"

I just wish they'd advertise on TV like the old Mego ads during cartoons.

When I first saw the prototype picutres, I got the same impression that there'd be two versions of the figure available too!

I'm more excited about the wave 2 figures than I was about wave 1. the Aquaman and Manta are just cool looking.

I LOVE that they used the original Mego Aquaman, and just "re-sculpted" the Hair...it just makes him so much more Mego!
