My wife was teasing me this morning as I carry Sinestro around with me. He really is a great figure!

It's like Mcdonalds and Burger King. I'm glad theyre both out there but I have to give it up for Silver Age.
Like it's been said I agree this might have been what Mego evolved into.
( i just wish the heads had tilted back Mego OR SIlver Age)Comment

Head sculpt
Another issue I'm having is that the skin tone is waaaay too white and the facial sculpt is soft and not as detailed as an original. I hoped these would be on par with the original and I just can't get past the fact that they are so inferior to product fom the 70's...excited they are...yet really expecting a lot more.....I hope they get bette....the well wishes are great but the product should be equal to the build up.Comment

I love these figures. I do think the turtle neck on Green Lantern would have been nice but he is still cool. I don't mind the legs or anything else. I love type 1 Megos and these are much like the type 1's of yesteryear. I love the way they look. Can't wait for pics from series two.Comment

Nothing to be said that hasn't been said before. I LOVE the sculpts, LOVE the suits, LOVE the accessories. The bodies and boots are a fraking joke. They look terrible by any stretch of the imagination and frankly Mattel should be embarrassed.
But there is something just so DAMN nostalgic about them that I can't resist. I tried to get excited by the Famous Covers, etc. and just couldn't. I just know I'm looking forward to getting them, smashing the bodies with a hammer, and putting them on proper Mego and/or Castaway bodies, and putting a decent set of boots on them.
The gold standard here is still the EMCE Treks. While I didn't love Trek as much as WGSH as a kid, EMCE's releases did a much better job capturing the vibe when they expanded the line.
Hopefully mine arrive tonight!Like M.A.S.K.?

Green Lantern reminds me of the depiction of him on the "Legends of the Super Heroes" live action show. I know they were going for that 70's look and IMO they nailed that aspect. I wonder if that guy (whoever he was) will get a kick back? Still a cool looking figure.Comment

Skin Tone
Actually...I like T1...the skin tone and sculpt seems soft, bland, and white....the originals were more detailed and had a better life-like chemistry..kinda like cast-a-way...which have a more human flesh tone...these are bland and a lil unrefined....but to each his own.Comment

Man, my avitar couldnt be more perfect it seems. Am I the only T1 Lover who finds these figures near perfect as they are?..I happen to love the "whiteness" of the face color and softness and generic feel to these. I could be wrong but it seems that the people that have the most problems with these are the ones that favor T2 style Mego's...no?sigpicComment
