Green Arrow now on Matty

I do not like that the arrow is part of the bow either. They did this with the DC Universe Classics Green Arrow recently as well, and ruined the bow. He even comes with all these other arrows that are completely useless because of this, you can't even fit them in his quiver. The worst part about this though, and I see this retro one is the same, is that the arrow isn't even positioned on the bow right, with the butt end on the string. Doesn't bother me quite as much on this one as the DCUC one though, which drove me crazy when posing him.

Of course, this certainly isn't going to stop me from buying the figures.

There engineering reason they did that, so you can't cut the arrow loose without breaking the bow string.

The picture on mattycollector is ther prototype taken at San Diego
in July.

You can always have a separate repro bow from the doc, switch em out. I'm more concerned about availability. The last thing I want to do is log on to Matty every 2 minutes and battle for a figure, come the 15th, just to find out they only had 115 of them or some crud. I just want an easy transaction, order, pay, and have it ship, done and done.

I would think these are early proto shots.. as the other one teased from AFI seems like it's the actual production version (being with the box and what not). The newer AFI pic for sure has much lighter arm gloves and a bit darker skin/arm peach color.. the shoulder accents are different too. The proto pic has the shoulder accent as vinyl, but the new AFI pic has it as fabric, almost felt-like.

Colour difference is probably bad lightening. Either way, I'm impressed, I like what I'm seeing
