Yes j scott o. You need to set up an account with your info. I have never had a problem with them and I have been ordering JLU and MOTUC from the beginning.

Do you have to be registered or have an login ID or anything to buy on Matty? I've never bought on there before. Are there any hoops to jump thru to buy something? I signed up for the newsletter a few weeks ago. I hope that is enuff.

As for safety rules: any kid can choke on a Star Wars action figure.
    They're small enough.
Should they then ban small size figures?
    And robots that fire missiles?

Anyway, even if an arrow had to be surgically grafted onto the bow, I would have picked a "normal" one.
Or one with an egg whisk.
'cause those can be real handy!

Wasn't Mattel the one that made that Battlestar Galatica ship that started all of this mess years ago? There's your answer on the safety stuff.

Oh well, it sure ain't the first time we've seen safety issues with an otherwise great figure... I can live with it,...again.

I think it is more of a problem of the arrow on the bow not matching the arrows in the quiver. The whole thing looks different. Check it out and see for yourself. Not the same at all. The fact that it wouldn't even fit in the quiver with the giant boxing glove means he must have to carry it and that is why it is the only one out. I'd like to have seen a new quiver and not the old one with a different strap. All the arrows should be able to be removed and placed on the bow. And they should all have different tips.
    That would be awesome...

I like the bow as it is...nothing says Silver Age Green Arrow like a cheesy gimmick arrow!

I'm more annoyed with this one than the DCUC one (I knew it was gonna end up this way because of Mattel's new stance on bow and arrows) because this is the boxing glove arrow. It's a silly arrow to begin with, but at least with the DCUC one you have a regular arrow that makes GA look like he's working with a real arrow. We're stuck with this goofy one.

Isn't this a collector's line? Why should the safety standard matter anyway unless GA is going to be released at retail.

Finally, I still don't understand (Despite several Q&A's with Matty) why Hasbro can include projectiles that indeed FIRE with their toys but Mattel can't include plastic bows.

Has anyone ever tried to use a plastic bow and arrow? Guess what it DOESN'T WORK. Why not make the bow out of hard plastic or make the "string" thicker so that it can't bend. Instead of molding the arrow into the bow.

That said, I'm still excited for the figure, but the bow is wasted a opportunity IMO.

I don't see why that would make much of a difference. You could cut it loose either way, but it would also look shoddy cut either way. Also, I don't see little kids trying to cut it away anyway.

Oh and to add to the way the arrow is positioned on the string, the string should be in a pulled back position for an action pose. It is pretty much on the retro, bit not at all on the DCUC. No accessory has ever drove me crazier. lol

As for the new safety regulations, they are asinine. There are much more dangerous projectiles out there. Have you ever tried to shoot an arrow with one of these plastic bows with plastic string? I have, and it doesn't do much. You would have a better chance of the arrow growing arms and legs and crawling down your throat or leaping into your eye.

No matter what the reasons, I do not like it one bit.
