And sorry to break it too you guys, but boxing glove arrows don't work.
Believe me, I've tried.
You can never, ever, hit a deer with it.....
I have a friend who is quite possibly the world's greatest Green Arrow fan. He was cleaning out his garage one day, and came across his bow and arrows, and one of his kid's boxing gloves. Inspiration hit him, and so he did what any true GA fan would do. He aimed the boxing glove arrow at the screen door of the garage and hit it hard enough to knock it open! So they CAN work.
The name of the line has been changed from World's Greatest Superheroes
to Retro Action: DC Superheroes because WGSH didn't fit the overall
concept of the plans for next year and beyond.
So we're going to get super heroes but they are going to be the older style versions of DC heroes basically?
More custom Mego madness on Facebook right here...

Well, yes and no. Most of the DC figures were probably always going to be the icon versions (older style if that's what you want to call them). Green Lantern, Sinestro for example do not wear uniforms like that anymore. But those are iconic, so we get those. Green Arrow's basic look is with, or without, the arm protection (for a long time "with"). He's actually back to wearing his red and green color scheme on cartoons and toys lately too.
I think the "Retro" aspect of "Retro Action" means more retro toys are heading our way from Mattel under this line name. Could be DC, could be MEGO, could be other toys altogether. Time will tell. 2010 Feb. Toy Fair is just around the corner. We'll probably know soon enough exactly what it means.
Does Mattel's online ordering allow you to use Paypal? How secure is this site? How much is shipping for something like this?
I don't think they do. It's credit card only from what i have dealt with. I did go and check and saw no other option other than credit card payment. Security is the same risk as doing anything online, i have not had a prob.

Thanks Mark! I appreciate you checking that out for me.

Shipping is around $9 for anything off of Matty. I can't imagine this would be more. It's best if you combine shipping on a few items, the price rarely goes up much.
If you're just buying 1 item, it's a bit of a bummer.

Thanks for the shipping update! Wow. $30.00 for ONE Mego-like figure. Hmmm. This thing better rock the house down...and then some.
