Realistically, I think Mattel is going to try to keep the costs of this toy line down. Look at the DC Universe classics line, all of the figures are pretty much the same body and height. The teen figures are way to short (IMO). The bonus for Mattel is they don't have to make a new mold for every character, just make a few tweaks and add head, done. Same with the WGSH, take standard body, add costume, head and accessories, done! So I am not too worried about subtle size differences.

    Having said that:

Give me a New Teen Titans line with grown up versions of the original Teen Titans!

Then I want the original Teen Titans in the smaller scale!

    Best of both worlds right?

I think i inspired this thread in the Robin one. however in 1976 when the titans were made they were only on one TV show, the 1968 Filmation 3 short cartoons. even there they were flying helicopters and looking and afcting about 16. in the comics they were just brought back to life in 76-78 for 10 short issues. in those comics everyone was either finishing High svchool or in college of starting a career(hawk in the navy and Bette(bat-girl) a tennis player) so really they were about full grown. and in 1980 with the NEW Teen Titans they all were grown except for beast boy who was 16.

However when you look at the original Mego teen Titans and place them next to the adult characters they no longer look like teenagers they are so short they look like they are about 10-12 in age. Not teenagers at all. they stand about the same height as the Our Gang kids, who were not teenagers.

Mego was active with figures from 74 to 83, that is right when the titans were going from 16 to 19 in the comics. so it's only right that they finally get treated with respect and get full sized. if Mattel wants to make smaller sized ones , fine , but keep them in better ratio to the adults. or just make both sizes to make all of us happy.

By the time Mattel gets to them i will have about 20 custom Titans made in 8" glory from a more comtemporary robin all the way through east and west coast to about jericho. from there i am just going to make them as they fall into place. I already have a Miss Martian head awaiting a doc mego body. But whatever Mattel makes in the Titans.... I'M BUYING!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My opinion on Titans? Save the arguement and don't bother making them at all. There are far too many better DC characters than the Teen Titans. Keep your focus on the Justice League/Super Friends.

If EMCE wants to try a different body type, go with Hulk (with longer thighes).

mattel has used this mentatilty for years now with the 4" Justice league lines I can't see them abandoning a working cost saving approach with the WGSH (plus the histoical basis of most characters from mego had the same scle male muscular body). The odd are heroes will not be "scaled" short of using head/neck dimension changes to change the height of a character (al a sinetstro).

Again, keeping all our wishlists in mind here.., it'll be based on how well these first figures sell, as to whether they'll deem it attractive sales-wise to tool/introduce body types.

Obviously, it'll go like gang-busters with us Megoheads and other DC hero collectors, but I'm interested in pondering what their profit expectations are here.

                Do both
and make a robin in both sizes....If they sell, in 7" then after a while make them in 8" then you can sell them or at least the original 4 twice in both versions.....then add hawk and dove...raven, mal, beast boy/changeling..all the new titans. Make him beast boy in the 7" version and then the changeling in 8"...then villians, the mad mod, some 60's/ 70's villians then the 80's villians....oh, and I want the doom patrol too...
