Mike Crawford has some up close and personal shots of the new figures on his web-site. You can really see the detail in each sculpt. I have to admit Green Arrow looked pretty close to the original, but then he was the best likeness of the original line. Supes looks great, and Green Lantern looks fantastic up close. It was kind of hard to tell in the other pics, but he is a great likeness of Hal Jordan. Sinestro is Supoib! Lex looks as he should...a troubled genius trying to figure out how to get Superman to fall for his next fantastic trap!!

Looking at the Mattel (what would you like us to call these Paul?) bodies,it appears the hand/wrist connector is standard Mego, so I'm thinking the limbs might be exchangeable between the two body styles. Looking at the way the cloth rests on the biceps, I think these have LJN wrestler body style bicep articulation....Can you confirm this Paul or Joe??

        This is so awesome!

The pics look great...I am thrilled that they are doing the DC line. I can see this is going to eat up a lot of my 2010 $$$!

Dude, if you were here right now, there would be a high five and even a hug whether you'd like it or not!

Seriously. Did I read that correctly? OK, I was surprisingly 'on board' with this whole "new Mego Super-Heroes" thang... until I went back and read the above post.

This is an abhorrent concept, tantamount to Levi Strauss selling "weathered" acid-washed, pre-slashed blue jeans. Remember that crap? An abysmal idea (and a failure to boot).

Look, if I want to leave my carded Mattel "World's Greatest Super-Heroes" (still struggling with this usage, too) Green Lantern out in the sun... I will do it myself.

I REALLY don't need Mattel to virtually "leave it out in the sun" for me.

Seriously, in this day and age — with perfect digital printing — what kid will even GROK a mis-registered print job on a backer card?!

Pffff. I am extremely unhappy about this news. Can you tell?

That new Superman is the way I imagined Mego Superman looked before I got him (with only a small picture in a Sears catalog to go by).

I really thought that Doc Mego being able to do something like this was close to impossible. But with the help of the Fairy God Father Marty it's happening.

Sorry if this has been covered before but do the heads have standard Mego neckplugs?

                Hello!

Andrew Covalt here, and I sculpted GL and Sinestro and tweaked Green Arrow and Superman. I wanted to wait for a few reviews to come in on the new sculpts before I made myself known.

I wanted to thank Paul and Joe for giving me the opportunity to sculpt new heads for our favorite heroes. I hope they are well received and we'll get to continue making more and more.

So I'm as excited as anybody! I'm still waiting for some really sharp pics too!

Couldn't be happier with the sculpts!

                    And thanks again!!

Sorry if this has already been answered, but are these new bodies using elastic to hold the limbs together or more like Famous Covers / Joes / Zica / etc. ?

I ask, because it appears Superman has two open hands, GL has two fists, and Sinestro has one fist and one open hand. It would be great if our Megos could finally start punching each other square in the kisser, instead of just slapping ineffectually !
Now that I've seen the pics at MWC's site, I realize GL only has one fist - seems he and Sinestro will both have fists for their ring hands. It would be nice if Supes and some of the others could have fist capability too, but I'm happy regardless!
