You would think Mego style Star Wars figures would be a pretty safe bet from a business point of view, Star Wars had been selling better than Hasbro ever expected after the movies stopped, and now with more on the way it would be nice to see an 8" line to replace the old 12" they used to make. I'm sure like other big companies that there are people there who would love to do it and others that could care less, it all depends on who gets to call the shots.

I rebuild Super Joe figures. Just finished rebuilding a couple for someone not long ago & just finished a Luminos for someone today.

Too bad the head snaps onto a peg on the body, otherwise I could easily use some mego or mego reproduction bodies.
seller APBJoe on ebay used to reconstruct super joes

I loved Super-Joe when I was a kid and would love to see them again.Either in the original scale or 8inch. Include Bullet Man too. Now I'm even more interested in the new AJ's.

Dave and I are already on it. That's one of the concepts we included right from the start when we were brainstorming about the new AJ line.

I wish I could find all the 1977 Super Joes. I keep trying and at some point I will be able to complete my collection and have then turned into Megos. I hope that the New Action Jacksons will be a bridge between AJ and Super Joes.

I was thinking how the old J.J. Armes action figure had changable hands that maybe they would work for superjoe, but they are a bit big. But everything about the J.J. Armes body is just a 9 inch version of the 70's 12 inch G.I. Joe. From the movable neck to the movable feet (unlike the 8.5 inch superjoe). And yes a superjoe head will fit on the J.J. Armes body. Only the suits with foot holes will fit though. And the powerzest looks a bit small on that body. Otherwise not too bad at all.

With button batteries, the light vests for a super joe figure nowdays could be made cheaper. They made the guns that had sounds and lit up for the orginal HOF 12 inch figures in the early 90's. Even if they used the sigma 6 body designs, the super joe characters would still be cool to see in any format.

Hey! I thought the Rock was a great Roadblock! However, I've enjoyed the Rock's work since I first saw him on Voyager. He's willing to accept the goofiness of being an action star.

I don't see Hasbro doing any cloth action figures anytime soon. They've even taken the cloth fully away from their 12inch scale figures.

Maybe Castaway could do a "ninja" outfit for Action Jackson.

When I was young and Megos were at the stores, I do not ever remember seeing Hasbro Super Joes. I for one would have gotten a few to play with. I did see the Mego Action Jackson outfits, and when my Superhero customs were to battle damage I would use Action Jackson.

I wish Hasbro would go with the trend and either re-release Super Joes (using Mego bodies) and make a line of G.I. Joe in Re-Mego format. I would love to have a Snake Eyes/Stormshadow in Re-Mego format. Heck I would even collect Rock awful version of Roadblock in Re-Mego format.

I would like to see the Super-Joe concept re-purposed. With all the crazy variations of super hero figures over the years, I can't believe that an 8" Avengers line using the Super Joe Vests and powered accessories concept wouldn't work. It would be a perfect fit for Iron-Man especially. I really need to find some Super Joe stuff and do some Marvel customs with it. I also find it hard to believe that an 8" Mego like Star Wars line would be hard to sell, but from the time I spent working thee it seems like there are different factions within the company all fighting to put their own ideas and projects together and working against each other as well, no one unifying vision. Sometimes success or failure isn't measured in sales, but in getting your ideas out there and squashing others.

True. That considered, it seems weird how little acknowledgement SuperJoe gets.

Hasbro will always keep the properties they own out there in one form or another, as they get a bigger cut of the profits than they do on the licensed stuff. It's a priority to them to keep the lines they own fresh and out there in the public. I'd like to see them re-purpose the Sigma 6 bodies and accessories into a Marvel line, kind of like an 8" Marvel Legends line. The Sigmas had great play value for kids and were very sturdy. I've seen a few Marvel customs made from them online and they were pretty cool.
