It's funny, recognizable and most importantly to Heroes In Action - they are public domain.

I believe Mark also had an idea of having Nixon as the Creature From The Black Lagoon. He wanted to use the Watergate scandal as an angle to make him the Creature.

They should do some Canuck politicians! Jean Chretien and that master of the unibrow Michael Ignatieff dont need any changes to come across as monsters!

Brilliant! Nixon as a pop culture figure is right up there with Lincoln. With everything from the more serious Nixon/Frost to his recurring role in Futurama in the past few years.

The "Water"-gate bit is a groaner, but he's perfect as the Creech with those jowels/gills.

The idea of a pastiche between Obama and such a wonderfully campy icon like Blackula is irresistible.

Not sure if a regular edition Clinton or Bush are being offered and I'm not hugely certain what the market is like for these kind of figures other than Robot Chicken type fodder once they are out of public spotlight. I know I see many of the 1/6th Bush figures they made in the past decade gathering dust. Monster versions do fit in with the ridiculous "has-been" aspects that inevitably tend to become their representations within the media landscape... (ie X-Presidents).

This is such a fun concept. I hope some tie-ins will be in the offering detailing the stories of the Presidential Monsters! A comic book would be a perfect place to start.

I guess it's an interesting idea. I personally wouldn't purchase any of them - but everyone has different taste so I'm sure others would be very interested in this product. Seems like a risky business move (unless there is a demand that I just can't see here), but I would guess people did the research, assessed the likely market, and are considering runs on these figures that won't be too high.

I don't think any of these are as cool as Lincolnstein, but I'll probably end up getting them all. Especially if Barackula has the hairline, mustache, fangs, and outfit of Blackula.

This picture is BS and Political!

Why is this even allowed on this site. I find it disgusting, to have a picture of President Bush biting the statue of liberty, it offends me to no end. Having served under 4 US presidents, that picture just makes want to punch someone in the kidney.

It doesn't appear as though they're singling out anyone, so I don't see how it's political.

The current president is depicted as a vampire in the toyline, so put your fists down.

Doing them as monsters is fine, but to see any President former or current sucking blood out of the statue of liberty, imo is offensive. Thanks for making it a link.

The Lincolnstein figure is cool, but I have no interest in Bush or Clinton figures.
