Well, price is the other thing holding me back. Adding an additional $10 to the cost of each figure brings it up to $35 a pop before shipping.

I suppose I will only do a swap if breakage occurs.

Do you ever feel… bad discarding the stock body in terms of altering a collectible? I mean, years from now, if you need to sell (not that you would) to pay for your nursing home care or whatever, you aren't dealing with the original collectible.

Does modifying a figure (even if it is an improvement) bother anyone who is a bit anal retentive about the original integrity of the toy?
I was going to switch mine over, but reconsidered since they would no longer be original. Besides, you can't swap the fist fighter, female, or teen bodies anyway, so might as well leave the entire collection as-is.

wouldn't upgrading to a BETTER body actually help re-sale? FTC bodies are prone for breaking right out of the package, where a Zica body will NEVER break (no rubber bands and heavy duty plastic) AND More posability and swivel arms

I had hoped FTC solved the past problems with the bodies so switching wouldn't be an issue. I don't have mine yet but wasn't planning on changing bodies. I can't help thinking I shouldn't have to.

^It might bother me with a vintage Mego--although I've done colored hand-swaps on vintage figures without guilt--but I feel anything new is fair game. They're my toys, I can modify them as I please. I very seldom think of resale.

Also perfect for the next gen of play toys for the little tykes.

I agree, all that is left is a proper scale Futura Batmobile.

Looking forward to Batgirl, Penguin and Catwoman. My all time fav '66 Bats characters.
Yes looking forward to these three figures more than the first wave.

I really want a Lee Meriweather Catwoman, but I know I'm in the minority and it's very unlikely. I have some reservations about the all-important Penguin prototype, maybe it's just the angle of the photo...

Can anyone post Romero's Joker with the tailcoat unfastened in front? I'm wondering about the inside shirt/vest details.

Why aren't they using their updated shoulder joint on figures? That's consistently their weakest link. Changing that, and stringing them more loosely, would obviate the need for replacement bodies IMO.
